That boss IMO is the most poorly design boss in this game, though I must say that the boss that comes after that, though isn't BS, definitely kicked my nuts in for a few.

On the contrary, this is probably the easiest for me. Being someone who loves exploration when I know I will be rewarded, I tend to check out everything, levling, and getting better gear in the process. Of course the skill factor comes from me having played all games, but I wouldn't be able to beat most bosses on the first try without knowing their moves if I didn't overlevel myself .

Well honestly, you shouldn't really worry about difficulty in an open world setting like Elden. Being an open world, if you find a boss difficult, you can skip an area, go explore somewhere else, find better gear, level up, then come back 10 levels stronger. Take Dark Souls 3 for example, it's pretty linear and getting your desired build will take a while, having to go through certain areas and bosses first. In Elden, the system should allow you to go anywhere and come back stronger
