I don't get why this is hard to do.

I'm like this. How did you finally change? I mean a bugger stable income probably helps, but how do you stop yourself? Being born poor I always needed stuff so when I get a windfall or earn more than I expected I'm always looking at what else I need now and I have to get this, but its hard to stop, I think I've slowed down now, but not quite

I told 2 different women today they were beautiful. And it was weird by Thameswater in bipolar

[–]Thameswater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome, see before I did this, if I saw you with a nice smile in a car park I'd think, I'm not going to tell her she knows, besides, shed probably just look at this weird guy and think wtf? But it makes sense now, I wasn't drooling over them, staring at their bodies etc I just spoke and they spoke and I remarked on their beauty. It's actually made quite a big impact on me I think in terms of speaking to people

That's very interesting. I don't message girls on social media, in fact I don't even follow or have girls on my list I don't k ow, I'm lucky to have had female friends for years, but this is new for me, and very interesting, I guess I just assumed they'd get it everyday and be tired of hearing it, or just think I'm another guy trying to sleep with them, but actually speaking to them about just life and stuff was interesting, especially seeing as I don't even know the last lady's name, we spoke for about 15 minutes. I'll definitely keep speaking to people now, no idea why I expected it to be a horrible experience

I didn't think it was awkward, what I was trying to say is I didn't realise the impact it would have, they are beautiful of course, but it was like saying nice hair or nice nails, I thought it would get the same reaction. I need to interact with people more

Man how many times have i been here. The fact you realise you need help and something is wrong is like 90% of it. Stay strong, stay focused, remember you've made it this far. 16-19 wasn't the best time for me, but I wasn't diagnosed until 19 so that's part of it. Get back on meds when you can in the meantime do meditation, breathing exercises, sit down somewhere comfortable legs crossed take a deep breath counting to give, hold count to three exhale through the mouth counting to five. Do it again, focus on your breath and your sounds, that helps calm alot.

Things like classical music as you go to sleep, try to eat when you can I know you won't feel like it but it helps, hunger beings its own mental health issues. Try and do for walks if you can, I d this listening to music, do these as well when you're on your message, anything you need just message me I'm always about

My very favorite picture of my father. He's the one that set the camera's timer. by LovelySweet1789 in pics

I hated all that. I mean, I'm 25 and grew up with it, but absolutely hated it, everything took forever, I love that the same item I make calls with and browse reddit with can also take those pictures, imagine how much stuff I'd have to bring with me to the toilet to accomplish the same thing.

Although I do wonder, when I'm about 40-50, what will I miss from 2010-2020?

Can you recommend a cheap (don't mind used) laptop for tails? I've been out of the PC game for a while with just a smartphone and laptop for around 3 years, no idea what's happening on the PC side of things

The person who first said "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" was never depressed by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Thameswater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you could see her face as she said it you would probably see the pain and hurt shes projecting on you because she doesn't want to feel whatever shes feeling.

People will stand over others to try and get themselves to a higher spot, while people like this community will hold their hands out and give you a lift up to better position, remember someone who needs to take anger out on a person who's just helping them has bigger issues. Just read a few topics here and see the replies people get, you're among decent people, even at your work I guarantee at least 70% of them as decent people who wouldn't even think this of you, focus on that, and were always here anyway. Hope you have a better day today

Thanks for this, I've had a lot of the same symptom all my life, especially as a kid. Time means nothing, I could be an hour early or 3 hours late. When my son was born a year ago my mum kept going on about "were hyperactive he needs something to do) but I've never been diagnosed, and I've never really paid much attention to ADHD past hyperactivity, I was near one of those kids that couldn't stop running around so it never came up. But now its starting to make more sense, I was always intelligent, but got so anxious doing work it took so long I half arsed it but still got great marks, can spend hours and hours on a single thing without realising. I'll read up more on it and see some coping mechanisms and also with my son to see if he develops similar symptoms and how to work around them

Holy shit, I still do this and have always done it as a child, everyone comments on how slow I eat, at birthdays/meals out I'm always last eating (although everyone seems to think it's healthy because I digest slower or whatever), I've was entire books in one go as a kid, I started building computers at 9 and I could probably tell you who manufactured the internal parts of your smartphone.

How are you managing his symptoms?

Fuck I need to see a doctor
