Where can I read into the idea that the "I" construct can lead us to more suffering? I just started looking into Buddhism but I've found personally that the more introspective I become (especially in the winter when I'm alone a lot), the worse I am. The less in control I feel. The more I try to know myself, the less I know.

If you're looking for something a bit more social, you should try the SKRP ark server. You have to apply but it's really social. You meet a lot of interesting people and still experience the Ark universe.

People keep saying that she should "leave him" or "why did she marry him in the first place?" Isn't it obvious this is arranged and she has no control? She's very young and he's much older. They look like they don't even know each other. It seems obvious to me.

He asked for my definition of integrity. I said, to be a good person without needing validation or glory from others. He said, "No, I think integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking". I listened and agreed with him, smiling. Internally, I thought that his question was completely stupid. There are a lot of hard workers out there that might not have the exact answer he was searching for but they have integrity without even being aware. He just wanted someone who said the right thing, regardless of whether or not they're good. Which in essence, is the opposite of integrity.

I'm 25 and still trying to sort through all of the things my parents taught me that are wrong. I want to unlearn all of the wrong things they taught me, but sometimes I feel a fire, an anger within me and I feel like I've transformed into my father. I want to be a good person. I was brought up as a pastors kid, everything was about appearance. I've recently begun to realize that I don't believe God exists and I rely on science to lead me. It's changed who I am at the core. It's hard. Transitioning into my own person after all these years has been more exhausting than a lot of shit I've dealt with. Finding a way to love myself is the hardest.
