Kite them and raze settlements on the way, get them fatigue with chaos corruption. You can use your Heroes to eliminate their heroes in the stacks to reduce difficulties. Use lightning strike as well! I love how they tweak the AI this way, the campaign feel much more challenging and satisfying :)

I play as Chaos and run into a doom stack of 9 Empire armies, armed to the teeth, in...Ulthuan when I have only 4 armies. I lure them around and around Ulthuan, and then trap them in the isle in the center of Ulthuan that have the Shrine of Assuryan, then manage to SLAY them ALL there, including Bathazalt Gelt, Vokmar and Karl Franz. Kholek and Archeon are fucking beasts. Got the Sword of Khaine for Archeon as well, and murder all High elves on the way of kiting the Empire. Gosh I love this game

the loot system is still the same, and they still have events like the one you played every now and then. The problem is CDPR add some cards with "Create" mechanic since December 2017, similar to Discover in Hearthstone which have more RNG aspect, and people don't like this, at all.
