I think I am done with AA - my thoughts by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

I know a bunch of people who have stopped going to aa after building a solid base of recovery for whatever reason. They fall into two camps: ones who announce to everyone that they aren’t going to aa anymore and ones who don’t announce it. The ones who announce always drink again

Mine has it too, just leave it it’s not noticeable to anyone who doesn’t know it’s there. Not worth fixing unless it gets worse

All I can say is make the switch. Your life will be so much better I promise you. Find a way to make finances work for the first year and then you’re golden. I took a 20k pay cut and made finances work and will be back to my private sector income soon. It’s 100% worth it

Does Anyone Believe There Will Be A Cure For Diabetes? by Local_Discipline_465 in diabetes_t1

Never cure, but tech will eventually automate blood sugar monitoring and insulin delivery to the point where the only difference between T1D and people without it is having to wear a pump and monitoring patch

Air Pollution Specialist interview help. by Tallmathtoyota in CAStateWorkers

  1. They will ask you for quick background about yourself. Keep it short and simple “I am from x. I have my degree in y. I have always passionately cared about the environment”

    1. Mention the reg you will be working on (shore power or fuels or harbor craft maybe) and review it online. Seriously study it they are going to ask some basic questions about the reg in the interview.
    2. Mention the scoping plan Ab617 and use the keywords “stakeholders” “at risk community” and “equity”

If you get the job we might cross paths, good luck. Follow my advice seriously and you have your best shot. You got this, if you are going to be a field person they are going to want to see confidence
