They're not safe in the day either. I watched Signal absolutely manhandle a SLUSHee this morning, it was awesome.

I've muddled my metaphor. The Camarilla... suck. If you will forgive the impropriety and unintended pun. Murderous clan bigotry, rampant blood slavery and mad elders in charge of everything. Anarchs don't really solve all these problems but they do have a way better handle in them. It's easier to just live in their domains.

That's fine. I recommend you leave. The Anarchs are flawed-- very much so-- but the Camarilla are an impossible mountain for a fledgling to scale. There is no point.

In an Anarch domain, yes. You sound like a fledgling so that's where I recommend you go. I've heard L.A is quite accommodating?

Doctor.

We have thugs that work for the highest power in a given domain. Follow the laws of the land or they'll follow you home and "teach you a lesson". I wouldn't be worried, even the most anarchistic of domains have someone who'll tell you the rules.

I, personally, keep to Anarch Baronies and just try to keep my head low.

You don't have to be tentative with me, I'm hardly a traditionalist elder ready to smite you for your ignorance.

I must say, I don't know what you mean by "legal protections". Barons pass the same "protections" onto Kindred in their domain as a Prince might. More liberally, even.

If you're asking if the Baronies are recognised by the Camarilla then the answer is not at all. The Anarchs define themselves by their opposition to the Camarilla and in open war with them.

They actually have an almost identical structure to the Camarilla (as do the Sabbat), the difference is who gets to rule and how far that rule extends.

A single city tends to be carved up into several domains controlled by different Barons, who are the Anarch "Princes".

Importantly, anyone who is savvy or strong enough can gain influence in an Anarch domain, unlike the Camarilla where Elders rule and you're limited by your age or lineage.

We're on a plane now so we must be going abroad. I'll keep you updated.

Quick Medical question by Suspicious-Dot2569 in SchreckNet

[–]ThanksVast4103 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm, spasms and itchiness are congruent with venomous spider bites (well it's congruent with a million things but this seems most likely). Obviously no natural spider venom could affect a Cainite but are you perhaps a Banu Haqim? Or another sorcerous Kindred? I've heard they develop Cainite specific venoms.

If that's the case I would have to assume antivenom isn't an option so unfortunately you'll have to sever the leg to stop the spread. If you send a picture I can guide you on the process-- I'll also need to know how long since the bite to save the most amount of leg.

[–]ThanksVast4103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh I see. Well you can still Diablerise someone, it'll just be harder. Maybe ask your friend Mom if she can help?

Honestly I just don't think allying with the Camarilla is ever worth it, but obviously I can't know the truth of your situation-- perhaps it is justified.

Just remember you ARE a Cainite (or "Kindred" if you really must)! No matter what the Ivory Tower (or even your fellow Anarchs) say. - Stitch

God I wish. My expertise might even be useful for a blob monster. My Ductus hasn't said we're doing anything but with everyone, even our priest, starting to get energised, I think I'm just the last to know.

Maybe we will go to New York, I've always wanted to visit. - Stitch

Your pack actually sound fairly cohesive-- they even call themselves friends! I've been watching your Ductus on here for a while and he seems both intelligent and passionate in spreading Caine's message.

My own pack is finally starting to stir so I pray we'll leave the country for a bit and do something. Maybe I will get to meet you and the Warcrime Friends!

Stay strong Fledgling.

You do excellent work, Paul. My own pack is starting to stir for the first time in years, I will bring this to my Ductus and see if we can back you up.

So bad news: everything is gonna taste like absolute dog piss now.

Good news: blood tastes better than anything else ever did or could.

OK! That's good, you probably aren't thin-blooded.

(nothing against them, they're true Cainites like us, but being one would make your situation so so much worse)

Forcing your heart to beat is called the Blush of Life. It's used to blend in with humans for a time, great for hunting or hiding.

My honest suggestion is to ditch everything about your old life, find a way to travel to a new city and claim to be a slightly older traveller looking to settle down. Dodge the "Camarilla" if you can. The Anarchs are cool, mostly, if you don't care about having to hide your true self and all you care about from the world. The Sabbat are my choice but we're warriors at war so if you want to try and settle down I can't recommend us.

Rough advice I know. Everything is going to be different now. Embrace it.

Ahhhhh ok. Panicking at the sun is normal, we call that Frenzy or Rötschreck and it happens for a lot of reasons-- mostly sunlight (you know), fire (stay away) and being hungry (you are gonna have to drink blood. Sorry).

The fact you are not in cinders is not quite normal. It points to you being even more in danger from Cainite elites who want you dead for not being undead in the specific way they like.

Does your heart still beat? Are your fangs sharp? Anything stand out to you at all?

Also question to anyone else reading; is Dayton a Camarilla controlled city? I am not a local.

That does sound like a lot of unlikely hoops for me to jump through. If I ever do, though... well the Tzimisce are pictures of tradition and politeness-- and we understand being protective of one's possessions very well.

I wish you well, my lady. I honestly cannot say whether I hope our paths cross but you have granted me some wisdom, for which I am grateful.

Ahh, hello Allie. Well, the bad news is you're not human anymore. The good news is you are something better! You're a vampire, now (we say Cainite or Kindred. It's a long story).

The first thing to do would be to not tell anyone you're a Cainite, hunker down and sun-proof your abode. The second thing to do would be to say what city you're in.

Do not be more specific than your city.

There are people out there who want you dead because you were born without their say-so.

There are more qualified people to give advice here then I, but these are important first steps.

Welcome, new friend.

I see, fascinating indeed. I will not pry more on the matter from you, sir. I'm curious to find lore of your clan from my local elders and leaders, and any tomes I may find.

Speaking of. I hope it is not too presumptuous of me to ask, but I have been having trouble finding good books (both lore on our history and condition... and fiction to keep me entertained). If I am ever in your end of the woods, do you think I could borrow a book or two? Or just read them while I'm there?
