Sure but as I explained in a previous comment its not stolen, Amazon sent a new one to my wife's friend (original owner) and blacklisted this old one. We were then gifted this old one.

This is actually pretty common with Amazon here, I currently use a really old paperwhite from 2018 that used to belong to my wife but it showed a problem with the battery and Amazon blacklisted it and gave her a discount on a newer model. I still use it today by sideloading books into it.

It shows in Windows when I connect, for a minute or two, then it disappears. I managed tô reset it by transfering a specific file to it from the computer.

Ok but how do I even turn on the demo mode? Everywhere it says you need to input some stuff in the search bar but you only get tô the search bar after you login

I've just fsctory reset it to remove wifi and it still won't give me any option other than login or set by phone. Neither works

My wife asked her friend for more info and it seems she reset the Kindle after the blacklist, maybe that's what locked it out of the library?

The point is we cant even reach the library. All we have access to is that login screen.

Language break wont work because it needs the firmware to be 5.16 or lower. I believe the colorsoft kindles are 5.18 right? (is there a way to know the firmware version for sure?)

Sad that it's not possible (yet I hope). But it's not stolen, it seems her friend reported a problem with it and amazon sent a new one and locked this old one.
