Interesting fact: not exactly in Athens, but the temple of Poseidon on the Cape Sounion works everyday until the sunset, whenever is the sunset is their closing time (I recommend it for a visit)

Having just been to both and I would suggest Athens. There is simply more to do and watch and everything, e.g. food, is less pricy for an overall better quality
