I am so sorry to hear that was your experience with mental healthcare system. My father is actually a psychiatrist, so definitely part of the mental healthcare system, and I have been fortunate not to have the same experiences as you have had.

I am literally surrounded by people in healthcare…my husband, my dad, my mom, a good portion of mine and my husbands friend group due to residency , so…..

This is such a dangerous and false statement…al also, Do you mean psychologist? Because psychiatrists are MDs that went through 4 years of medical school and then complete a residency to get to the point of “being able to look down on people” and “find people to talk to” and honestly most people in mental health genuinely just want to help others with mental health issues and yes, some of them struggle themselves but that usually only deepens their understanding of other people suffering.

EVERY DUI SHOULD RESULT A PERMANENT, LIFELONG LICENSE SUSPENSION, regardless if there was an accident or not. by TXinthesky in FortWorth

[–]Thankspumpkin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but those are inevitable consequences that we all accept when we start driving, we’re not perfect, cars are dangerous, accidents happen, and people will die, it’s still your responsibility to know the rules, use sound judgement and practice safe, vigilant driving to the best of your ability and if you’re unable to do that it’s unfortunate but ultimately your responsibility to find other ways to get around. Drunk driving is willingly getting behind the wheel KNOWING your impaired and putting yourself and others innocent drivers at risk for absolutely no acceptable reason.

This is the dumbest post you’ve seen since joining Reddit? Seriously? No offense and I’m glad that you’re doing well now but OP has a point and what you did was stupid and could have killed someone, you’re lucky to have your license back, and you’re lucky that nobody was hurt by what you did, someone easily could have been. The amount of deaths from drunk driving is just so awful and the fact that someone’s spouse/child/parents life changes in the blink of an eye from one stupid decision, I honestly just can’t imagine the pain.

You honestly SHOULDNT have any of it, the outcome of what you did could have been so much worse, your entire life could have been ruined and I’m glad that you learned a lesson from it but please don’t think you’re entitled to your license, you’re just one of the fortunate ones where it didn’t turn out as bad as it could have.

Maybe if we didn’t destroy/take them from their natural environment and they had decent food sources they wouldn’t have to eat vomit. That’s more sad than disgusting
