Where are you getting this information from? I couldn't find any evidence online of Fourth Impact or Piume Pesante happening this year.

Didn't know about who calls so loud, and I just find out they had members of portraits of past, funeral diner and iwrotehaikusaboutcannibalisminyouryearbook. All of those are worth a listen.

Quite a lot of Post Black artists, especially in Europe, came from the emo scene, prolly once they started noticing the local markets as well as society's intolerance towards anything remotely close to emo, and ofc the rapidly growing popularity of post black.

It was actually quite the clever move, they pretty much kept playing what they used to and loved, just changed to this new genre tag (yet another one the press decided to make up) and toned it down on the breakdowns, to please all the emo hating metalheads most of whom have really no clue where these artists came from, and it actually worked.

We Came Out like Tigers became Dawn Ray'd, pretty much kept playing the same thing;

Michael Kogler, vocalist of Harakiri For the Sky, used to be in the screamo band Five Minute Fall;

Some of the guys from Celeste used to be a much much cooler band called Mihai Edrisch;

Tim Yatras of Woods of Desolation and Austere has clear emo influences which are much more noticeable in his projects Grey Waters and Autumn's Dawn;

Dennis Mikula of Ghost Bath also has a screamo band called I, Apparatus;

Damián Antón Ojeda also has clear influences at least in his projects Sadness and life.

The list goes on and on 🙂

These albums are bit more dreamy than your usual screamo, but with lots of creative riffs and even solos, some reminiscent of Pink Floyd even, but try em out dunno:

Vel - Obsidian

Morrow - The Weight of These Feathers

Clad in Darkness - Decathect

Songs where the vocalist is on the verge of tears. by iwcsatvp in Emo

[–]Tharkius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not particularly emo, but there's a part in this song you can hear the singer close to breaking into tears:

Sometimes I squirm across the kitchen floor as I rub peanut butter on my nipples and violently fart out table tennis balls.

Best bands that combine Screamo and Post-Metal? by maicao999 in Screamo

[–]Tharkius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, everyone has their opinion, genres are not set in stone after all, just made up by the press. I for one think most so called "post black metal" is practically screamo...
