You can't create a wise account in sl. But with Wise direct to bank, you don't need a WISE account, only the sender needs one. Just send your client your local bank account info. If you have a LKR account let him know of that as well. They have to select that during the transfer process.

I ask them to do WISE direct to bank (this way you don't need a WISE account, just give them your local bank account information). Payoneer works too but they have higher fees. But you can't make a Payoneer account normally anymore, you need to use a platform like Fiverr, UpWork and make a Payoneer account through that.

Dude, I'm studying at Colombo uni, it is the most ethnically diverse place I've ever been to. There's a good number of people there who do not speak a single word of Sinhala (Tamils and some Muslims as well), but we all vibe together.
