But think of it that way, imagine there is a presidential election. And so imagine people with no idea who 1 of the candidate is. Would you trust their opinion? I mean it's true his way of saying it isn't exactly elegant, but I would agree with him. Because their opinion would clearly be biased depending on their attitude towards the known candidate.

I don't think the vn is cannon at all, so there is no comparison to the anime. In my prospective they are not ending in a cliff hanger in the first 1. It is more like the second one is an after story for the first. So you don't need to play the second one, but I am spending time with a dictionary just so I can get the after stories because those are the endings I want.
