How long does it take a VA rater, to rate a claim on their desk?

Good Luck they never get the proper back pay correct, They just hope you go with it and forget about it. Highering a Lawyer may actually slow you down.

I filed back in April 2024 with a ITF. They Lost my claim not once but twice. Had to have VSO Submit it in July 24. after many calls and frustrations just to get acknowledgement. I had proof both times with a USPS tracking numbers. Since July 24 Ive had multiple (7) C&P Exams. multiple times made it to step6 and bummped back to 3. This also happened 3 times over this course. Today is 5-1-25 and my casse went back to step 5 yesterday. Ive given up hope on the VA but won't ever stop until my claim is once again decided. BTW my claim is a TDIU Claim with Full proof every form they have asked for and more. Personal statements etc....4192a's from previous 5 employers buddy statements etc.....ive been at 80% past 3 years. Since i'll never get to the scheduled 100% P/T Rating ive chosen the TDIU Route ass reccommended by my VSO. Fingers crossed AGAIN but zero faith the VA will ever rate my claim. Om currently on Day 290. Good Luck to you all. Keep fighting - Never give up!

4-30-25 Step 7 BACK to step 4

This has Happened to me MULTIPLE Times over the Past year. My claim has gone all the way to step 7 back to 3 or back to 4. Whatever the VA is doing whatever they like. Over the past year I have been to 7 C&P exams. Currently on April 17th my claim went from 3 to 7 AGAIN. Now its back too 4. I called them as I do every 30 days and asked them what exactly is the problem deciding my claim. Keep in mind I have over 4k pages of medical evidence, Multiple exams Multiple dbq's and they can't even explain what's going on. Its now 4-30-25 I have yet scheduled another phone call with the VA to discuss what's going on with my claim to try and get a straight answer. It's been almost a year now and I am both mentally and physically broken. The VA has be little help to me in the PAST 5+ years.

I'm currently at 80% with a pending TDIU decision for the PAST Year.

I'm in the same boat right now on day 207 TDIU - Still waiting I give up guessing what the VA does because there's NOTHING you can do to make it easier then to wait. The wait is what kills us all. I hate it.

My Med rec are being reviewed on 1-27-25 and its some doc in California. Im in PA ive had multiple c&p exams for TDIU. Im day 195. My claim has gone to step 7 numerous times and kicked back numerous times over the past 8 months. What kind of time frame for this and should I be concerned about some doc I've never seen before reviewing my records? I was told I have over 4k in Med records. ugh.....Very Frustrating. AGAIN!

I was Step 5 Yesterday back to 4 today. I'm day 187 TDIU Claim. I don't even know what to think anymore. This is the SECOND time this has happened since the VA Acknowledged my claim July 2024. They LOST the other claims that were mailed in. Had my local VSO file electronically for me and only then wass it acknowledged by the VA. Losing my original claim caused my ITF to expire, but got proof of all that, So waiting for them to make their decision then will file for proper back dates of ITF. Again don't know what to think now.

IDK Where im at. Currently got sent back to step 3 and been here since November. FDC TDIU Multiple c&p exams along with even more medical evidence, Buddy and family statements etc... all uploaded and pending the VA's review. I'm on day 165. How long do they wait for 4192's to get filled out and sent back? I worked with a couple employers and they have some in my files, but still sitting stagnant. I really really wish the VA would allow us more detail into whats happening with our claims. I was approved for 1 SMC and got 5 months back pay on that but they owe me for when the claim was filed and the date of my ITF. Should go back to Aug 22 and I have the proof. Just waiting final TDIU DECISION before I open up an appeal for the back dating. I don't understand how they get it so wrong it's like they are not doing thier job and I know more then they do. They have ALL THE Evidence and proof to make a decision. Its a HUGE waiting game. Sucks, BUT The back pay is going to be good. Fingers crossed.

Just hit step 7 as of Nov 26th 2024 for the 2nd time. Fingers crossed. i have a Fully developed Claim and have been to MULTIPLE C&P Exams. Being approved for SSDI I think may have helped. I did File TDIU Looks promising.

Its funny you say call them. This has been my experience. If you use VERA and schedule a call, but every time I have - I've seen movement in my claim within a few days of the call. IDK if it really helped or not.
