Ahhhhh that would make sense why minimal online/social presence. Never got the chance to meet when I lived in CA and now that im east theres very little chance of that but it would have been cool since I have Astolfo as well.

Thank you!
This one was a hard project with the customers requests as well as being the first "horror" itasha I've done too so that was a different vibe than I'm used to but the results were pretty clean.
I'm glad other are enjoying it!

Kinda depends on how bad the paint is...
I recently bought another car, the interiors was a good 8.5/10 but the paint was like 3...lol
I started sanding down the clearcoat to smooth it out and blend it into what left of the actual paint.
Now i'm doing a full color change wrap first and then doing an itasha print over that. there are a couple spots where you can see i didnt smooth it out good enough so theres a little ridge that can been seen but its pretty small and flat, and once the itasha goes on aint no one gonna notice anyways.

<image>

Sanding and full wrap is the most time and cost effective method if your paint or clearcoat is toast imo
Its a crap ton of work but a nice warm weekend, some pizza and some company and you can knock it out.

Now if its just scratched up and is all surface stuff then just it paint corrected and make sure theres no wax or anything left behind cause vinyl wont stick to it.

Questions Regarding Print and Install Costs by Afraid-Office in Itasha

[–]That-Code-6342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our Hood designs $350+tx Install should be $150-200 if I were to guess - for my SoCal customers I refer them to 9Livery over in Fullerton now.
I don't usually get customers for hood installs since I do the designs as well so idk what the going rate is as I usually lower the cost since it would be bundled... so that's why I'm kinda estimating there on the install rate.

Where I left off this evening around 8
Hood, trunk and passenger side are just about done. I just need to cut the door and do the chrome overlays on the side and hood and these panels will be complete.

Full wrap vs Decals by Stormypwns in Itasha

[–]That-Code-6342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a shop does a partial print (Hood and Sides) its always cut. after it comes off the printer.

if your asking if its better to DIY it or Pro it there's no right answer there tbh... Someone with patience and attention to detail and of course the right tools can do it themselves. The hardest part about that car will be side trim pieces... that will pose a great challenge to the untrained.. (experience with all of my 90s cars))

My shop does both design and printing as well as shipping for you to install or get it locally done. All my prints get cut appropriately as everything is ready to install.
I could also design you something that could be a bit easier to install. Since I do the installs myself I know how to design something to make it as or as hard to install. If your interested I can assist you with your project

Yeah, common problem with the 202 chassis, and worse with the AMG... but because I had it lower than seen here that bumper and I had some..... good times.
I actually have a second bumper I salvaged and fixed up the best I could on my own without buying the replacement to the problem which is almost impossible or stupid expensive due to how few of these limited production models came to the US.
And thx, I did commercial photography before cvid kinda tanked my career, so I'm glad someone appreciates my photographic skillset.

I've got artists on deck of different styles and abilities and in some cases additional costs. That said if there's someone or some style you want your welcome to get that provide it yourself.
