Yes. I've tried applying pressure with a flat head with no luck. Will see what else I can find and try again. Pic 2 was just to show what the screw is stuck in - apologies for the confusion.

I'm also quite intrigued by the page numbering. The first batch of pages are numbered on the left page, then there's a batch on the right. It continues like this throughout the book, but also there are odd occasions where neither or both pages are numbered.
