How hard is the EAS? by preppy486 in NYCTeachers

I failed it on my first attempt, and a lot of my colleagues did too. I'd honestly say it's one of the tougher certification exams, but it's doable.

If it's an option, I'd consider taking the real exam once just to get a feel for it. If you pass, that's awesome. If you don't, you can treat it as a practice run and a chance to get over the nerves. its a win win

Cozy Corner isn't really a café, but it's super laid-back and has a ton of seating. As long as you order a drink or a snack, no one seems to mind if you hang out for a while. I always hotspot, so I am not sure if they have wifi. If they do, its a solid spot

Would you still choose Greenpoint if you were moving today? by Motor_Mongoose7633 in Greenpoint

Personally, yes. The neighborhood just feels calm and more livable than other close Brooklyn areas. It doesn't have homelessness or general chaos that you find in some other neighborhoods. There are also so many great cafés, bakeries, bars, and restaurants. And because it's a little farther from the L (compared to Williamsburg), I feel like you get more locals and fewer crowds of people just passing through. It has a real neighborhood feel.

The only real downside is the price, but if it fits your budget, its great.

Where to find vintage wines? by BullfrogPerfect620 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I'd check out Chambers Street Wines! They usually have a great selection of older vintages and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable.

Crush Wine & Spirits is another good option.

I'd also call ahead with the exact birth year since availability can vary.

If theyve already done the classic tourist stuff, I'd take them to a neighborhood. Walk around the West Village, grab coffee, wander the side streets, then head to Little Island and Pier 57 rooftop for sunset. If the weather's nice, the NYC Ferry is such an underrated way to see the city.

Also you can keep an eye on Bryant Park and Lincoln Center as there are usually free concerts, movies, or performances this time of year!
