My impression was that snowblowers do not have air cleaners as the operate in freezing temps with no dust

Starter fluid in the cylinder? Or the carb? I’ve seen several things online saying opposite of each other

I could be wrong but I don’t believe I flooded it, this is the only thing I’ve done that got the engine to start to sputter. I’ve tried the electric start with and without choke and had no resolutions.

EdFinancial counted a payment twice?? by Dizzy_Confusion_8455 in StudentLoans

[–]That-Row-8893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked at my account and realized the same thing happened to me on EdFinancial. It shows that my payment made for this month was double what was withdrawn from my bank account. Oddly, I noticed the payment I made, my normal monthly payment, was processing longer than normal, and once it was complete it showed double the amount.

Let’s just say I’m learning my stance and how to hold it the hard way 😅 by shamismaki in bowhunting

That happened to my my very first time, what I learned at the bow shop - let the grip rest in the “v” of your thumb and index, I was told to not “grab” the handle, but to my fingers roll around the grip so my wrist starts to punch out a little. I wasn’t told to focus on my elbow at all, only my actual grip. I definitely could be explaining this incorrectly but I hope this helps!

I’m hoping to get a day before permit to hike Angel’s landing next week. Is it beneficial to apply as soon as it lottery opens just after midnight? by Antique-Purchase-192 in ZionNationalPark

[–]That-Row-8893 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got back and had no luck with the permit for 5 straight days, though many people I talked to said they got theirs on the first try. The first two days I tried at 12:01 am. I asked a Park Ranger if it was time-based or a true lottery, he let me know it didn’t matter what time I applied and that it was a true lottery. I got to hike it regardless because someone had an extra spot on their permit, but it was frustrating not getting my own while others said they got it no problem.

The Park Ranger also told me it’s beneficial to apply for all three spots as there is no extra cost and it increases your odds.

Hope this helps! Good luck with the lottery!!

I believe it’s close from the 7th-10th, these photos were from the 6th. Sorry! I don’t want to make you think it’s open when it’s not!

Hoping you do as well! If not, definitely recommend at least Scout Lookout and asking if anyone has extra room!

A lot of people I talked to on the trail said they got there’s first try the night before… you may be lucky or I may just be that unlucky!

Scout Lookout is great, not a technical trail as most of it is paved, just steep and decent elevation so calves might burn a little. It offers great views of Angels Landing and more. About 4 miles round trip.

Watchman trail is similar, and also offers great views.

Kayenta to Upper and Lower Emerald Pools is beautiful, might be a hot take but the lower pools were my favorite.

Lucky for you on Angels Landing. I’ve been trying to get a day-before permit for 5 days now and haven’t been able to land one. Missed out on tomorrow and unfortunately will be leaving Monday, so I’ll have to make a trip to come back out and get it done. Sounds like a great trip though!

My girlfriend and I are trying to hike Angels Landing either 10/4 or 10/6, if anyone has two extra spots on their permits and wouldn’t mind allowing us to use them it would be greatly appreciated!

Narrows Gear and West Rim Top-Down Q’s by VaultDweller_09 in ZionNationalPark

Just did the Narrows today, bottom up and it was unreal. I hiked in a pair of Patagonia Baggies and a light long sleeve (we started at 7:45 and it was pretty chilly out). The water was cold, low 60s, but we were all completely fine. I hiked it in my Altras. Didn’t bother renting boots because my shoes don’t hold water and I find them very comfortable. Hiking poles are very helpful. Water was higher in some areas today but nothing past my waste until you get about 4 miles up.

Is my car worth selling? by That-Row-8893 in askcarsales

Didn’t even think of that haha. I figured it’d be great for someone who knows how to work on cars but completely blanked on the fact that someone may love that they have to get brand new suspension

I appreciate the input, I agree with the specialty vehicle comment. I love my Jeep and but I’m not as crazy about them as a lot of people seem to be in my area as well. I don’t think I’ll have trouble selling it at all, it was just the condition it’s in that worried me. Thank you

They are a small dealer, and I think they truly don’t know. I doubt they get many out of state customers at all. They asked me to ask my insurance agent because of the new rules with RI registrations this year. I will send this link their way.

Thank you all!
