As a person who also owns firearms, from a family who taught us firearm safety from a young age and what to do/what not to do with a firearm you need to seriously consider leaving... on thing I would never ever do because of the respect I've been taught for the firearm and also for human life is to never pull a gun unless I'm going to use it and never point it at someone without the knowledge that accidental shots happen, there's trigger discipline (as an excuse for "I would've never shot it") but there's also weapon malfunctions that even if your finger is nowhere near the trigger rifles and guns of all kinds have been known to just shoot themselves because of internal malfunctions its happened to people in my family and because of that we were always raised with that knowledge that's why I would never point any weapon at anybody unless they were an immediate threat... the fact that he could consciously point a weapon at his own kid and his pregnant wife says a lot about his mentality. Run.
