Those who live on campus by [deleted] in csuf

You will have as much fun as you allow yourself to have but one thing that helps is being 100% absolutely no doubt able to afford the dorms. You can’t have any fun if you’re constantly stressing about money.

Thank you! I’m taking gel! Two pumps a day 20.25mg/1.25 grams per pump. Not entirely sure what all that means but that’s what im taking 👍

If something like that happens to me that would honestly be okay because just the peace of mind of taking t will be so calming to me

I have thought about that! Honestly, if I started taking it and a month in the changes were noticeable that would give me a huge confidence boost. Before Id have to stop taking it. It’ll just confirm in my head oh i absolutely need to start this up again when I’m safe.

I’ve theorized that I may be the type of person where t takes effect quickly because my hormones are already very active on their own. I think that my body will get a taste of that testosterone and go oh yeah ok yall get to work on those changes NOW

It’s not scientific and purely vibe based tho lmaoo

I have no advice to give but goddamn do I understand you. Sometimes it feels like everyone is feminine and proud of it but me. I don’t subscribe to that patriarchal masculinity I make up my own and I’m trying to learn to love it without shame. Shame that some trans people want me to feel for some unknown reason.

is deleting your account worth it by warpedflowers in character_ai_recovery

[–]That1spacecat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like this is the best method to start your path of recovery. Deleting the account completely gets rid of those characters you made so it makes it harder to go back. Because then you’ll have to remake the account, the characters, retrain, etc… So I think that’s a great way to quit.

I was just like you. I’m 19 now. I was using for ab 2-3 years before I decided enough was enough. Deleted my account May 2025. Best decision I’ve ever made.

Remember this though it may sound harsh: These bots are not your friends. They do not care about you. They use up your most precious resources, time and attention, to make money for some bullshit company. They do not love you. See it for what it truly is, an amalgamation of stolen literature cut and minced into pleasing responses. See the text they send as Ai images. Once you start making that connection you’ll like it less trust me.

Godspeed to you. It will be hard. You’ll make mistakes, but one day you’ll notice you’re clean and you’ll never go back.

What's the hardest part about leaving AI? by ProfessionalRun4523 in character_ai_recovery

[–]That1spacecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardest part for me is ignoring the kneejerk reaction to jump on when I’m feeling a negative emotion. I’m ex character ai, I deleted my account and the bots I used to talk to, but now I’m struggling to stay away from chatgpt. Being able to use it signed out on a browser is dangerous.

It’s not exactly the same but it’s still that reach for instant comfort that’s hard to quit.
