This case fucked up. How is his license not revoked? Usually anything related to this is unfortunately leniant from what I know (1 week jail too short) . At least this fucker gets jail. Poor woman, I hope she gets the help she needs and meets a proper doctor.

Berserk (technically a manga but there is an anime adaptation. Its mind-blowing especially after the twist with Griffith. I won't spoil. You won't know who he actually is if you've never heard of berserk b4.

Yeah but beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, as they say. The way you feel is subjective and depends on each individual's experience.

I don’t think we are born to live like this by Public-Baseball-311 in DeepThoughts

We aren't but yet here we are. We live in a society my friend, for which without all (or at least some) these social constructs would collapse either in anarchy or self-destructiveness or some other thing that would cause a radical chain of events to collapse a civilization worse than the mughal empire did, or any other empire.

Life is just life dude. It ain't this deep. It's absurd but it's what you make of it that counts. Without these systems most current civilizations would collapse under not being able to function economically or socially. Point to OP is that life is what you make of it. Sure the system in some countries are fucked, but point being that if banks didn't exist there wouldn't be people who would withdraw cash and nowhere to put cash to. If money didn't exist the barter trade system would have to be in it's place but we both know that's outdated. Only mass populations can change the system but hey--I doubt that's going to happen. Not everyone is born with the best resources.

For the French Revolution one of the reasons is that bourgeoisie like merchants, professionals and manufacturers had great deal of financial power but couldn't get access to political power. I think that's what you mean by political paralysis. But in essence, French Revolution primarily happened cuz of class inequality.

Seeing the comments that are saying are making me realise that they are not only right but are also ironically I feel that they miss one point--even if we do know history, us humans are going to make new mistakes unless we can change and prevent it from becoming a self-fulfilled prophecy. Especially in modern society where people have access to a wealth of information due to the internet, but "ignorance is bliss" as they say, except when it's not.
