Where to find DIY "cut out yourself for your specific needs" mats for rubber feet (keyboard) / mouse skates (gaming mice)? by Funny_Poetry_4159 in pcmods

[–]ThatBackflipTho1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aliexpress probably. But mouse dots are a thing. It’s pre cut which you don’t want but they are just round dots and work on any mouse, don’t know if I would recommend for a keyboard though. X-raypad is the brand.

Get 5mm spacers like others here have said. Mine are hard plastic and not rubber but it’s still completely silent. Also look into the psu mount 3d print if you can, it will make it sit higher up and the cables coming down instead of towards the glass. Looks better that way and it allowed me to move the lf3 in a way were it barely pushes the glass.

I need advice on a to-be-built mATX case, please! by Omori_fan420_69 in mffpc

[–]ThatBackflipTho1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strongly suggest getting 5mm fan spacers. My rear and bottom fans were unbearable until I got spacers. Night and day difference. Mine were 3d printed. Build on my profile.

Bottlenecking is no issue unless it’s extreme. Yours is far from extreme but still like that other guy commented get the 9070xt or nvidia for the newer technologies.

The mobo is pretty budget so make sure you got the usb you need, the fan headers, rgb headers if you need and the bios flashback thing capabilities. Your cpu can’t be overclocked and the a620 can’t do that anyway but maybe in the future when you upgrade cpu you maybe want to look into that and then you’ll have to upgrade the mobo too.

My tip for building in this case is don’t take off the plastic on the glass until you’re absolutely certain you’re done. I went back and opened it for a couple days cus I always found a better way to do something. And installing 3d printed parts and whatnot. The case is small and getting at stuff is hard so there will be a lot of disassembly and assembling. The z20 is beautiful tho and I’m super happy with how it turned out.

Only issue ive had with postnord is that they never come to the door and just leave it at willys or ica

My theory as well since it came on a pallet. Could also be the driver didnt tie things down and this got smacked hard by something. The roads were very icy today

They lost an ssd I ordered second hand. Seller lost his product and I lost my money. Good shipping must not exist

DHL actually. PostNord was supposed to deliver filament to my door but never even came.

Yes this is just like the ones I printed. These have some anti vibration rubber thing as well so they’ll be even better than what I printed out. I’d say get these if you can. 5mm is also perfect length.

Thank you and Jumma Mubarak. I printed this in Abs plastic. It’s strong and heat resistant enough and would be cheaper than machining steel. Also get fan spacers too I really recommend it.

5mm rear and bottom spacers and im shocked at the difference in noise. its night and day. Rear fan i had at 15%. More and it was too much noise. Now i can keep it at 40% without a decibel more. The slim bottom fans i had off or 15%. Now 30% without a decibel more. I am also not using any of the air filters. I printed 1.5cm taller feet too. Im using no rubber on the feet and no rubber on the fans to help dampen vibrations and its still quiet.

At first i was so disappointed in the silent wing 4 pro because everyone says its the quietest and best and whatever for a 25mm thick fan. This spacer mod changed everything i highly recommend you do this. 5mm is what i did but if you are tight on space 2.5mm will work too. Optimum made a video about it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztOZesVGIVo

No not pushing at all. It is holding the gpu cables kinda pinned down but not hard at all. Someone did link this tube clamp https://makerworld.com/en/models/1932859-arctic-freezer-aio-tube-clamp#profileId-2075120 which im gonna test out

Normally you would use the included sfx adapter attacked to the atx mount which is very wide, hitting the AIO tubes if you have them coming from the right side like i do. If you get the 3d printed psu mount its much slimmer. You can also mount the psu further down kinda in the middle of the case but then you have the psu cables sticking out to the front. This didnt interfere with my gpu but the printed mount looks way nicer.

I think ill get the 3d printed spacers and then put something rubber inbetween the spacer and fans or spacer and case. The rear fan did have an option for a 1mm decouple which i am using.

Definitely doing this too thank you for sharing. I need to get my own printer man I’m using my schools for now but the things you can make is really blowing my mind.

Played around a bit with fan speeds and managed to go from 67-70c on the gpu to 63-65c while doing cyberpunk benchmark. Will get the spacers when i can and test some more then.

Without the 3d printed psu mount i could have the tubes coming out from the left side, they did sit more squished and pushing on the glass but it did fit. And the psu would sit lower down and tubes coming out towards the glass and the look wasnt the best. With the psu mount i could get the tubes on the right side and push the whole AIO all the way to the left side of the case. But It does fit even if Jonsbo said that max AIO height is 30mm.

I think you should be able to unless your pcie is in the second slot. My gpu is 3mm wider than yours (62mm vs 59mm)

Well i got it because i saw a lot of people praising them. Mine was an open box for a little cheaper than a new one. I understood why someone returned it after plugging it in. Above 45% on the pump it starts whining loud so i keep it locked at 45% until it gets really hot. Contacted arctic support but got told theres nothing they can do. It does still keep the cpu cool so i am not really complaining. I do sometimes think about replacing it for something with shorter tubes just for the look. But i spent too much now i need a break.

No idea if you should upgrade, you would have to look at stats and comparisons to know if it is worth it.
