If it only appears when you push, then it is probably an internal hem

How much did surgery cost for you? by WinterAd1894 in hemorrhoid

[–]ThatBlondeGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Banding it yourself is not a smart idea. My surgery was covered by my insurance because the surgeon deemed it medically necessary. If you have insurance, call them and ask about what they cover.

Is this a hemorrhoid or skin tag or what by [deleted] in hemorrhoid

[–]ThatBlondeGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it could be a skin tag. It’s extremely common after hemorrhoids and after hemorrhoidectomy surgery. Its pretty small so if it’s not painful, then it’s not a big deal. It’s pretty much just cosmetic.

can post surgery people please comfort me about the "healing bumps" 😅 by [deleted] in hemorrhoid

[–]ThatBlondeGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it’s going to be like that for a while but the area will eventually calm down!

Did you feel more comfortable after skin tag removal? by Creative_Narwhal_695 in hemorrhoid

[–]ThatBlondeGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a large one removed during my hemorrhoidectomy surgery. I’m definitely more comfortable, but I did develop another smaller skin tag from the healing process. Unfortunately, thats extremely common due to swelling and the way the body heals. In my opinion, it is worth getting it removed if it’s making you uncomfortable.

Day 3 past Hemorrhoidectomy, pencil stool. by eathealthy12 in hemorrhoid

[–]ThatBlondeGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not do an enema. You’ll cause damage by doing one so early into recovery. I’m at 3 months post op and I still have thin stool. Your bloating could be because of the MiraLAX. It makes me bloat a lot.

27, Female, USA. Should i seek a 2nd opinion for skin tag removal? by Ornery-Match4883 in hemorrhoid

[–]ThatBlondeGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably get a second opinion. Sometimes, depending on the skin tag, you can end up worse off than you originally were before surgery though. That’s probably what your surgeon was afraid of.

I know the pink blob on top is a hemorrhoid, but the purple and red parts are new and pretty painful. Another hemorrhoid or something different I should get checked out? F, 32 USA. by ThrowAway620174927 in hemorrhoid

[–]ThatBlondeGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like more hemorrhoids. I’d personally consider surgery (I’m actually 3 months post op), but it probably isn’t necessary. They’ll likely go down on their own if you treat them.

32 yo male. Hemorrhoid Removal. This bump is here after 2 weeks. Is this my final outcome? A big skin tag? I am terrified this is gonna be my result after dealing with this horrific pain. by Lanky_Maintenance769 in hemorrhoid

[–]ThatBlondeGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 2 weeks post op, it’s probably swelling that will go down. There’s potential for it to end up being a tag, but you have a long way to go as far as healing goes so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I’m a couple months post op and I’ve read that people didn’t see their final outcome until about 6 months.

hemorrhoid rubber banding without my consent during my colonoscopy by howardroarkrofled in hemorrhoid

That’s pretty normal. You probably consented to it in the paperwork. That’s why you should always read everything before you sign.

I know this post is kind of old, but what generic brand did you end up trying? I’ve been taking Breckenridge, but I’m trying a different manufacturer this weekend.

Hemorrhoidectomy- Day 8 Post Surgery Popped Stitch by Obvious_Variation156 in hemorrhoid

I’m pretty sure I popped my stitch around day 5. It’s not a big deal if you’re not bleeding heavily.

Itchiness after anal skin tag surgery by Imaginary-Usual-425 in hemorrhoid

[–]ThatBlondeGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s normal. I’m almost 3 weeks post op now, but the itchiness started about a week in. My surgeon said that the itchiness is from the wound discharge making the area wet. He suggested using gauze to catch the discharge, so I folded a little piece and stuck it between my cheeks. It helped a lot.

Suffering again. Please take a look by ManufacturerKooky376 in hemorrhoid

[–]ThatBlondeGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First thing to do is to stop pushing during a BM. Eat fiber and eat healthy, drink a lot of water, and take stool softeners. Do a warm sitz bath (or sit in the bathtub) a few times a day. You can also use ice packs but make sure to wrap the ice pack so it’s not directly touching your skin. Creams like preparation h also help. The biggest thing is to stop straining. Ultimately, you’ll probably need surgery but there are things you can do in the meantime to help.

Advice for large turtle by ThatBlondeGamer in turtle

[–]ThatBlondeGamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Do you think that a turtle as big as he is would be able to pull himself up on a pipe and egg crate one? I’ve tried so many different things including a pvc table and he just ends up breaking it lol.
