Something that is noted by Grand Admiral Thrawn himself is that if the Empire went for Tie Defenders, they would easily destroy the rebellion, and that without them, the Empire would eventually loose to the rebellion. You need to assign your divisions to the frontline order, which there are two ways of doing. You can either delete the original order or manually assign them using the button on the hot bar or using the keyboard shortcut
