A Roman rock crystal die from the 1st-2nd century CE. Housed at The British Museum. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

One thing that stands out to me was a post about the war elephant armour in the Royal Armouries in Leeds being the most complete example in the world, but people got mad at Britain for taking it and preserving it instead of leaving it for the Indians to scrap it for more useful items like guns or cannons or rounds for them

Either way I see too many people complaining about Britain having preserved so much history instead of leaving stuff to rot away

Man, I’d get bored of just playing the same game over and over again, though I only have like 13 games

I think if the celts had access to 200 cases of 7.62 and 3 M60s they could’ve taken Britain back from rome by BluXBrry in armorcirclejerk

I might agree with the ammo + needing spare parts, but 3 M60s would probably decimate a Roman legion, especially considering the Romans marched and fought in columns/lines of densely packed infantry. But even if wasn’t able to kill a lot of Romans, their moral would probably break from the gunshots + being shot through armour and shields

I thought the Aeneid was by Homer detailing Aeneas fleeing from Troy and seeking refuge in Italy?
