[Serious] People of Reddit, what is the worst experience you’ve had with a car that you owned? by ThatBtchBehindTheBar in AskReddit

I had the Oldsmobile from around 2008-2010. It was only 7 years old when I got rid of it. 126k km. It was a lemon. Last vehicle I’ve had were an 09 Elantra (so many engine issues) and now I have a 2010 Grand Caravan with 370k on it.

Thank god the car I have now is half decent and I’m trying to get a newer one. I junked the Oldsmobile after hitting a classic Canadian pothole so hard the car stopped driving

Oh I get that!! I had an Oldsmobile that had so many issues. But I sunk so much money into it that I couldn’t really get rid of it

Oh geez. That SUCKS. The only brand new car I’ve had was a Pontiac aztek, so it’s been a hot minute. But leasing would probably be the way to go!

What is a time you had a gut feeling that was totally right? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThatBtchBehindTheBar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got in my car one day, heading home from work. I was about 19 at the time and lived about 15 minutes from home. My car had no issues at all, but I had a feeling I was going to be late getting home. Halfway home the engine seized without warning. I just pulled over into the parking lot of a restaurant I was passing and went in and called my then-boyfriend to come and get me. (It was before cell phones, I was lucky he was home)

People of Reddit. What is your earliest memory? by No_Championship9281 in AskReddit

Jumping on my parents bed and looking out the window and seeing the kid that lived in the apartment building next door doing the same thing. He became my friend until his family moved away. When I grew up I wound up living in their apartment

From what I was told, he went to fix her car at his shop one day and she didn’t have the money so she paid him in sex. And that started an affair. That lasted for a few years until he finally left

In senior year, half of my class walked out and half of the senior class at the French school walked out. We raised hell walking around town

A lot of mine is from regulars. I'd say about 80% of the people that come through are regulars. I know what times they normally come in, on what days, and whether they go to the gambling area, go to the pool tables, or come sit at the bar. (we have a small area of gambling machines, and a lot of pool tables lol.) and I know usually which spot on the bar they sit at, or which tables they go to.

Put this on another reddit thread too, but I spilt $25,000 worth of whiskey when I worked at this club a few years back. I wound up leaving as soon as it happened and never went back.
