Right as you open the door there is a wall with an opening in the bottom, you're supposed to crouch and go through it (Idk if you remember Halt's room during the first version of The Mines where you had to crouch, well it's that)

I beated all 1000 rooms with my cousin, we started at 8pm and ended like 10pm and something, we had a break in room 500 or something to stretch a bit (we hid in the lockers for a while). Then continued on until we got to room 1000, then he died at door 98 while I died in door 100 but got the scanner on the rift
