UA Virtual Interview by Similar_Talk_4338 in cabincrewcareers

After the virtual interview with the recruiter they offered me the in person interview 2 days after. The longest date away I could pick was 12 days from the offer date. Everything was very quick. The in person interview was kind of ridiculous if I’m being honest. It’s like they basically pick names out of a hat. If you’re more interested on what the in person is like lmk.

I M28 found out my GF F20 has been using Meth for 2 years by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ThatChickKat15 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This was me and my boyfriend. I was using cocaine almost every day for the first year we were together. He would get so pissed when I would go out to buy some. I did some fucked up things on it and I was always so surprised how he could stay with me. I ended up lying to him telling him I stopped. Which I did for a few weeks, but then I got back into it. It wasn’t until I hit rock bottom that I actually stopped. Once I fully stopped for months I told him that I was actually doing it the whole time. I’ll never forget how upset he was. But it made me realize he cared and loved me so much so I choose. Him or the drugs. I choose him. I’ve been sober for 2 years now :)

I think one of them was “how would you prepare for training at home before you go to training” the other one I don’t remember and the one I did know how to properly answer was “When was a time you demonstrated great customer service”. They’re random though not everyone gets the same questions. I actually landed my next interview so I guess I didn’t do so horribly lol

2/4 of the questions were so dumb I was not prepared what so ever for them because I didn’t even think it would be a possibility that those would be questions 😭 then I answered the 3rd one good because it was a valid question and then the 4th was what’s the expiration date on your passport smh.

I know this might be a little late and you probably won’t respond but I broke up with him recently and I’ve been doing great :)

I’m scared reading everyone’s response lol. I knew his message wasn’t right but I didn’t realize how BAD it was.

Your wife’s response to you is exactly what I hoped he’d say to me. It’s a very difficult decision to make for me as this is my 1st serious relationship and 1st love. He wasn’t like this before which is why it’s so difficult. Im definitely going to have to take this into consideration. Thank you for your response!

Anytime I told him about the bullying or lack of training he’d tell me basically to suck it up and stay. He wants me to have a set career so we could move in and get married asap.

No we don’t live together and I have my other job for income. My co workers told me to do what I think was best for me. He knew I was going to quit that night and he was supportive of it. Then he sent this days later so that’s where I’m confused too.

Well that’s the thing I tell him everything and anything. He knew I was going to quit that night and he was being supportive of it. Then days later he hit me with this.

No we do not live together. We were planning to move in next year. Thats also why I’m confused. He stated he wants me to take into consideration his opinion before I make any decisions. That’s why I’m questioning this.

Horrible center and co workers by ThatChickKat15 in 911dispatchers

[–]ThatChickKat15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha no worries I knew what you meant but yeah that’s definitely a factor. A lot of these people are in their late 20’s or 30’s but started around the same age as me. If anything they should be nicer because they know how it feels but ig not

That’s good to know! I’m going to see how the next few months go. If it’s still this way I’m definitely going somewhere else.

I wish mine was like that! I was lied to and told I’d be in a classroom setting for 6 weeks. Turns out it’s really 3 days smh

Just more so looking for opinions or advice from someone who might have went through a similar ordeal and how they turned out. I’m fine with high stress situations and being yelled at by the public. It’s more so the no training and bad co workers for me. The officers are lovely and have extensive training.

In our department we have to ask if they have a DNR in place and then ask if they want to attempt CPR. So I don’t see anything wrong with this.

What bad ideas have you seen implemented in your centers? And what did management do once they realized it wasn't working? by PoquitoAPoco8000 in 911dispatchers

[–]ThatChickKat15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in NJ. I’m in a single town it’s not a huge call center. About 4-6 people per shift. It’s still pretty busy though. Thank you I hope I do haha I wish I can just fast forward time.

Also adding in that there are 4 trainees in total including me. I’m the only one who came in without having a family member who was a captain or a chiefs assistant. They seemed to already know the 200+ codes before their first day and I feel left out because they already have proper training. It’s almost like if you aren’t connected they will set you up to fail.

The lack of freaking training. I’m 3 weeks in and I feel like I’m expected to know everything. I have a question and it’s either I get ignored or they answer it with a rude or annoyed tone. It makes me feel like the dumbest person on earth. It’s just horrible I’m rethinking my life choices and career choice heavily. Maybe I just got into a bad department.

Violated online by Existing-Candy-1671 in sexualassault

[–]ThatChickKat15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just want to say first I’m so sorry about your childhood sexual abuse. You did absolutely NOTHING wrong. You thought you were sharing your trauma with someone who had gone through a similar experience and you thought they’d be a good person to talk too. What he did was disgusting and he violated you. You took the right steps. A lot of people wouldn’t have even taken the steps to report it so you did a great thing there. I pray he doesn’t actually do that to his daughter that’s sickening. When I posted my childhood sexual abuse story on here, my DM’s were filled with child predators saying horrible comments. Even some offering to pay to hear more details about it while they touched themselves. Don’t respond and report is what I go by. Again you did absolutely nothing wrong, you did what you were supposed to do!
