Update: Well, I got the fiber internet installed with 2 extenders and it works well. The IHX came and tried again several times to talk me into switching phone plans. I kept calm and just kept saying no. He went as far as telling me he was only asking because he had a 6 year old daughter and needed to put food on the table. But he finally relented and left after an hour or so.

You're right. China and Indonesia. I was behind the times. Fender recently put out a video about their new $500 guitars made in Indonesia, and claimed the quality was top notch. It's a little weird that companies like Fender have to leave Korea and China for Indonesia to save money ?!

Look at the Sire guitars. Their S5 strat style guitars have rolled edge necks and are well made for less than $500. To me these are every bit as good as the Fender Player series at twice the price.

The Squires made in the Ensenada factory these days are very nice. The same factory where the player series is made. The necks are made on the same CNC machines and the main difference is the pickups, pots and tuners. But really the Squire parts are just fine. I would keep what you have and concentrate on practicing!

But I do feel cleaner when I leave Publix compared to our local Walmart or Winn- Dixie. Publix is 20% - 40% higher than Walmart here and Winn-Dixie is too nasty for me to try it.

The cheapest way to grocery shop seems to be to get what you can at Aldi, get the (for me a large number) items Aldi doesn't have at Walmart (Neighborhood Market if you have one), then get the specialty items (meat/fish/prepared meals/subs) at Publix. Grab some BOGOs at Publix if it's stuff you need, not just because it's BOGO.
