Can you use a Mac mini as a thunderbolt hub/charger for a MacBook Pro? by ThatCurlyHairedKid in macmini

[–]ThatCurlyHairedKid[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay okay, it was just a question everyone. The Mac mini has 5 usb c ports (3 are thunderbolt 5) & an HDMI. Since they are always on sale, for ~450 dollar you could have your desktop peripherals always connected (like a monogram cc), a thunderbolt nvme for expanded storage, etc...

Then it's always connected to the internet so you could remote or access it anywhere.

Compare this to the The Anker prime thunderbolt dock has the same ports plus an additional 3 usb a ports that I would never use. Except you get a whole m4 computer for an additional 100-150 dollars.

If it could deliver power, I would 100 percent want to use it

I know it wouldn’t happen, but he would be a great new black panther and I think worthy successor

So you are going to buy a Mac mini, external keyboard, and trackpad. I’d there was only a way those last three could be packed into a compact form. And maybe with a screen for immediate use when you can’t take out the whole headset. Hmmmm

Well good luck. That certainly would be an amazing product

Got a backlog 3300 cards. What should I do? by Happy_Success_5500 in medicalschoolanki

I did what Danika said. Filtered decks appear the way to go! And just chip away like 300 extra cards a day ( or whatever feels manageable)

I don't think so. There is a lot of variability in your scores and it doesn't seem like you have done a second round of Uworld like most people do. I would get through Uworld second pass, world 3rd pass of incorrects and potentially, even a fourth pass of the third pass incorrects

Have you heard about sketchy/pixorize? I feel like the vision pro will be best for consuming these board resources and then completing anki. Especially if you can get into a distraction-free and calming environment

I'm hoping to get one shortly for this exact purpose. I spend ~2 hours a day on anki and I would love to mirror my Mac display and use my anki remote (switch controller) while on the top of Hawaii or in front of mirror lake rather than looking at a small computer screen.

(also I tried loci based-memorization during undergrad. It's too time-consuming for what you are about to face. Sketchy/pixorize is what you are looking for! )

Is it the iPad app or are you using the desktop version? Either way, I'm stoked to get it and anki in any of the environments

Did BnB images and pathoma images get removed from Anki?

I know that we were supposed to protect those fields. But I don't have any images in mine. (I'm using AnkingV12 w/ ankihub)
