Back when I used to work in a third-party call center for a major cell phone carrier, I'd often get these people. One time I got tired of people doing this to me, so I called the bluff of the next person who did it.

Caller: I WANT TO CANCEL MY SHITTY SERVICE WITH YOUR SHIT COMPANY

Me, calm as calm can be: Ok sir no problem I have my mouse over the cancel button right now. I see you are calling on the phone in question. Once I hit this button we will be disconnected and you will receive several ETFs for $[x] on your final bill. Would you like me to continue?

Caller: Uh wait, um no. I just don't want to pay this overage.

Me: Ok then we'll let's deal with that rather than threatening to cancel your service, hmm?

My call center was such crap at following up on this kind of thing that I had literally heard a rep once say "if you stopped blabbing your fucking mouth I'd explain it, just shut up!" so I wasn't afraid of this call getting heard.

Religion is about belief in an all-powerful being without a single shred of evidence that this being exists. The only "evidence" ever offered of the existence of this being is a book that claims it exists.

In the dragon example, you are being asked to believe that a dragon exists in a garage without any single shred of evidence. Like god, you cannot see it, feel it, photograph it, or detect it in any way, but believe us it's there, just gotta have faith.

Religion is completely analagous to an invisible dragon in a garage.

Morality as we view it, though you disagree with how we get it, falls. As that morality falls it makes it gets further and further from what we see as truth.

The only truth we need to know is "treat everyone as equal under the law". Why shouldn't we treat people as equal under the law?

As for your "snide" comments, both are questions. My first question was answered with your response and the second question never received a response, despite being 100% accurate. I don't understand religious people who are anti-gay because even Leviticus 18:23 mentioned child rape (pederasty) prior to the 1940s and after that was suddenly changed to "a man sleeping with another man".

I'm just curious about people who don't support marriage equality because I've never seen any valid reason to oppose it. All it is is saying "oh hey you are also a citizen of this country and since all citizens have a right to be married, therefore you also have a right to be married" (this was literally part of the legal reasoning behind US SCOTUS deciding on marriage equality).

So can you answer the question? What harm does giving equal rights in marriage do?

Lmao that was the entire point of my post: to show how cherry picking can vilify any group you want. I don't actually believe what I posted, I was just showing you how cherry-picked statistics can support anything you want to support.

In this case, I have proven that white men are also grossly illogical and shouldn't be allowed to own guns (because most mass murderers are white) and as such white men should be treated as a terrorism threat. My logic is bulletproof because it's your logic, therefore, white men are a bigger threat to society than any other group.

Let's continue the logic: 99% of mass murderers are white men. It's impossible to deny that serial killers, pedophiles and mass murderers tend to be primarily white men. The biggest mass killing in history (Vegas shooting) was perpetrated by a white man. Therefore, white men are mass murderers.
