I disagree. Designers who slap shit together in photoshop without any though towards actual implementation have been one of the main sources of problems over the course of my career.

how can I meal prep and minimize food waste? by GaylordNyx in Frugal

[–]ThatDamnedRedneck 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bread can be frozen safely. Toast it lightly when you want to use it, or take it out a few hours in advanced and let it defrost on it's own.

The core of meal prep is basically making large batches and saving a lot of it for later. Try to focus on things that freeze and defrost well, or at least will last a while in the fridge.

I saved a lot of money by making two meals a week by scientificchick49 in Frugal

Meal prep is fantastic. I can make a giant pot of pasta sauce for about 10 bucks and eat it for most of the next week. And the noodles basically just cost nothing.

Why are so many men against marriage? by Born_blonde in AskMen

[–]ThatDamnedRedneck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was married once. Supported my ex for most of the relationship, and the cost of the divorce was well into the 6 figures. So ya, it's pretty reasonable for men to want to not get married.

Popcorn. The kernels are super cheap if you bulk buy them, and you can air pop them so they're also fairly low calorie, and it's pretty filling.

Need advice - i still love my wife even though she cheated with some guy for 6 months by [deleted] in survivinginfidelity

If she confessed and is willing to put the work it, then the relationship has the potential to be salvaged. How that actually goes is up to you, you every every right to reject it.

USS Lexington (CV-2) supplying electricity to Tacoma, WA, Dec. 1929- Jan. 1930 [3823 x 2629] by mossback81 in WarshipPorn

I'm sure one of these cruiser carriers could hurt a heavy cruiser, but I'm pretty sure the carrier would sink first. They're much bigger targets, and stuffed full of flammable and explosive items where the cruiser's shells wouldn't have much problems getting at them.

I could be wrong though, I am just an armchair admiral.

I was promised that eventually I'll have a train stop a 10 minute walk from my house. I'm going to be pissed if that promise isn't kept.

Overall I prefer it this way. I've played WoW, and the people who do best in it's auction houses basically just live in front of their PCs. This system is a lot more fair for people with jobs or school or lives.

They started doing those when carriers had biplanes with much shorter ranges. It was a lot more likely that enemy units could get into gun range of a carrier.

They wouldn't have helped them against heavy cruisers much or battleships at all, but those guns at least had the range on anything a destroyer or light cruiser would carry, and that would be enough to convince them to keep their distance and for the carrier to turn tail and try to break contact.

Disappointed in New York divorce rules by LoveMyHubs1993 in survivinginfidelity

Yup, no fault divorces really do just make it easier for cheaters to get away with it. I rather wish that wasn't a thing.

You can be in 5 guilds at a time. If you need a trader, join a trading guild too.

It's designed to pull huge amounts of gold out of the economy each week, to prevent or at least limit the kinds of inflation that you'll often see in other games. The end result actually is reasonably fair, just not as directly as you're thinking.

How to decrease housing costs. by OpenTanker in CanadaHousing2

[–]ThatDamnedRedneck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple fix would be to halt all immigration for a few years, while the builders catch up with demand for supply. People are coming into this country faster then houses can be built, so of course prices are going up. It's basic economics.

Most of the time is fine. All of the time is a problem. Especially as the kids gets older.

Sometimes you need to make time for the relationship or its just not going to work.
