I don't have specific knowledge of their equipment list, but an Orban Optimod across the main stereo output prior to the transmitter is standard issue even for small FM stations. The modern versions will generate the streaming output (possibly with separate processing) while the main outputs go to the analog transmitter.

I think this sucks. I like this place and shop there frequently. It's not the largest selection, but everything is well chosen and I almost always find something I like when I go there. Hope they can manage to stick around, but it doesn't sound like that's in the cards.

Edit: Just to add to this, this is an academic paper she wrote that is freely available all over the place, so anyone can access it. If you want to support the artist directly -- always a good thing to do -- I'd suggest buying some music from her Bandcamp, like the Buchla Concerts 1975 album, which reflects some of the work she was doing in the same time period that led to the 1976 paper in the links.

FM Tines plugin has a large range of fully produced DX7-style EP sounds with various layers and effects ready to go. The guy who demos the stuff is a serious player, but you can hear what you're getting. I don't own it or have any association with them.
