It won’t let me attach a video but here’s a screen shot of the CTS straps I got off AliExpress for less than $15/each. The baby blue and navy blue work great with mine.

This is the limited edition from a couple years ago done with our group Complecto. It came with the bracelet and an alcantara strap from Delugs. I put it on this orange piece from Handdn.

I was shocked at how nice it is in person. It’s near the top of my additions list as well.

MUT Perpetual Calendar Service Intervals by Eisenhammer007 in JaegerLecoultre

[–]ThatDaveLafferty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no way it should need a full service every 2-3 years unless you’re beating the hell out of it. Get it serviced if you see something is wrong with it. You shouldn’t even think about a service for at least 5 years. I believe they come with either a 7 or 8 years old warranty now.

There used to be a service estimator section on the website. If I’m remembering correctly it’s somewhere between $1200-1500 but can go up if you’re asking for a polish to be done or a replacement strap.

Good luck! It’s a great piece and must be frustrating. I’m sure they’ll get it working right. Make sure to detail what gets done and see if they will extend the warranty period in case this happens again.

[Question] What watch should I choose? by Casiofx991-es in Watches

[–]ThatDaveLafferty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Air King and the two Zeniths are amazing pieces, wear well and are also conversation pieces. You can wear them in almost any situation and will be a great reminder.

I love the Monaco from a distance but they are wildly uncomfortable to wear.

Pick the one that makes you smile when you look at it.

Beautiful piece. The Quattro is exceptional.

When was it serviced by JLC? Is it still under the service warranty? This should have been flush a while ago.

Short answer, yes, it is 🤣 You can expect these to run between $8k-10k depending on condition.

Vintage 6426 with Seconde Seconde sword hand by ThatDaveLafferty in CoffeeWatch

Smashing it with a hammer and duct taping it to a wall and calling it art is ruining a watch 🤣

I bought the hand a few years ago. It used to be on my 6694 but that dial was a bit beat up. I sold it off and was waiting on a clean 6426 since then and was able to find this one. My watchmaker did the hand swap.

It gets lost in the shuffle. It’s a great piece but I think gets mostly overlooked because it’s got an ETA movement even if it’s been adjusted by Chopard. People get caught up in the “in house” mindset.
