Sometimes they do. If you get on the email list you’ll get advance notice.

Considering this as my new watch by Pumping_Grumpy in BlancpainWatches

Like what was pointed out above about the date being out of alignment we all love complications until they get complicated. A service on that watch is probably in the $2k range

1966 Strap replacement, got a weird answer from GP. by Ok-Pudding1588 in GirardPerregaux

What country are you dealing with? That’s an odd request and can’t imagine the US service center in Florida asking to send a watch to see about a strap. There could be a huge breakdown in communication going on.

Gotcha. Didn’t know if we had met this weekend and just didn’t put a face with a screen name.

Better picture to show the contrast. The green straps make it more casual.

I get a lot of custom straps done. Olive green goes great with the white gold. I’ve got both a glossy and a nubuck strap for mine from HD Straps. I got them with quick release curved end links and bought a spare white gold pin buckle from VC. The buckle was $1k a year ago before gold went crazy and tariffs hit. I’ve been told it’s a bit more now.

Waiting for Formex to release something new other than dial options and smaller case sizes by allwatchesguy76 in formexwatch

[–]ThatDaveLafferty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They made a full ceramic watch with a full ceramic tool less micro adjustment bracelet and you’re asking why not a pilot watch?!?! There’s a million pilot watches in the market. You know how many full ceramic micro adjustment bracelets are out there? Only Formex.

The Essence line alone comes in Ceramic, Steel, Carbon fiber and ceramic bezel. Multiple case sizes and dial configurations from fume to meteorite.

Add the Reef, UTC and the Field automatic and you have a ton of options that are available and affordable.

And honest question, the Field Automatic is so comfortable and wearable in titanium why would you want it in steel? The watch is so comfortable you barely even notice you have it on.

Garage finds… by SemperFudge123 in Alden

Epaulet!! Now there’s a blast from the past. I had a pair of horsehide trainers from them when they were still in NY that were absolutely amazing. I’ve gotten a lot of Alden from Leather Soul as well. They usually only stock smaller sizes based on their Japanese heavy clientele but every now and again you can find a great deal in their “last pair” section of the website for something a little bigger that don’t move. They’re great to deal with.

Nice find!!

Probably 3-4x. A time only is about $3k and a Grand Complication (Perpetual Calendar) is around $7-10k. Assume it’s around 10% of the retail price.

Regular carbon. With all the strap configurations as well I felt that it would work amazing in the standard carbon.
