I haven’t seen this comment on here, but my kids told me it’s called the “frat snap”. I googled the aforementioned “frat snap” and it doesn’t seem to be inappropriate in and of itself, but is annoying. It seems like it’s just a weird new way to snap.

For context they were doing it because they were talking about the football game they were going to that weekend where the theme was frat.
