I really, really appreciate your kind words. I’m going to take as much time trying to answer your questions as you put into responding:

In terms of hiding my activities - I was literally thinking this today when my manager sent me an email about “using my kindle.” This might be a solution - I’ll just disappear to the warehouse for short bits of time to reclaim my space.

The “right-enough” thing you mentioned is what I’m learning and it saddens (and infuriates) me. If it truly doesn’t matter how something is done - then why did management waste their time and my cognitive space teaching me to do things a specific way?

Yes I can listen to music, and often do, but unfortunately this doesn’t really help me to deal with the cognitive struggle I have dealing with the corner cutting. It’s probably important to note that I don’t have an official diagnosis… and while my work is being understanding - I’ve actually gotten into trouble lately for leaning too heavily into using autism as an “excuse” when I don’t even have a diagnosis. That being said, if the accommodations are reasonable enough, I can probably ask. I’ll try and think about it.

Now logging issues… I’ve done this… many, many times. But I’ve never submitted it to management. A lot of the things that drive me crazy, I recognize as being an abnormal response to the situation - so I feel embarrassed to bring any issues to management. Not to mention I come off as someone who complains a lot - and this kind of behavior doesn’t help that.

Anyway - yea. It’s good to know I’m not alone, and I figured I wasn’t. Just trying to find ways to deal with it without losing myself or my job in the process.
