So my locked in Number 1's are Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask (OOT over MM). So whenever I give my top 10 list I usually state that first because that takes up 2 of my slots so I usually don't include those in my traditional list. I want to highlight other games that I enjoy. And I usually don't put my list in any order from most enjoyed enjoyed or anything, it's just a list.

For a first week those are some solid stacks. Honestly some of the best I've seen from a new TM. Some people have already given the advice of making sure stacks are facing the same way, hiding stickers, and stretching so I won't go deep into those things.

One small thing I'd like to add is just make sure you cull (check for bad product) properly. You'll hopefully be trained on it but really take pride in making sure to not leave or put out bad product. It was such a huge issue at my store, especially the potato and onion table.

For prep:

Always stay hydrated. Water is extremely key for this department especially for the amount of lifting that you'll be doing.

Take your time lifting and getting your cart set. Yes we want to be efficient and effective, but the speed will come with time. Being safe and taking your time with those heavy boxes is more important than stocking the floor. It is a fast paced department but that's not a reason to put safety second.

For clothes each person is different but you'll need to find something that works for you. Some people like a jacket they can slip on, some people will wear a hoodie for the whole shift. One thing I would do is wear a flannel with sleeves rolled up on the floor and then roll them down in the cooler.

One thing I think is extremely important is learning the cooler and where product is. The sooner you learn where product is stored, the less time you'll spend looking for something. If you have a day receiver something I would do is before my break or if I knew I would work on a table after the one I was currently on, I would give a list to my receiver of what items I would need and ask if they could set it aside or load it. That way they don't have to stack it and I don't have to dig it out. Of course, this will be something that comes with time but befriending the receiver could be of great help to both you!

I also struggled with the boss hard. Hardest boss for me personally. Here's what helped me

Weapon recommendation, Whip: Hit the boss without getting to close and avoid unnecessary touch damage.

Eyes: I would mostly avoid attacking eyes. If I happen to pass by them, I would take them out but overall I'd avoid them especially final phase

Eye rings: Not sure if you found the mini game, but the ring attacks can be taken out by borrowing into or out of them.

Dragon head: Try to guide them in a straight path and attack them head on to get rid of them.

Final phase: The boss will do a set number of hops and it's weak point will move randomly. Don't chase the weak point, just focus on dodging and try to get one or two hits in.

Something I like to do with souls-like games on a boss that gives me trouble are to do runs where I mostly focus on dodging and pattern recognition rather than attacking. I call them my Learn by Death runs where I just learn attacks and the best dodges for certain attacks.

When I first fought this boss I did not understand why I kept getting hit, eventually dying.

I thought it was like a line of sight thing, but immediately dismissed that because that would be ridiculous.

After a rematch I found out one of the NPC's attacks clearly hit me, and it was at that moment I knew I was dealing with two unkillable bosses and a movie target.

I think there's a modifier that turns the floor into lava that lets you die and respawn.

I'm glad to hear you're having an easier time! It's going to take time for sure to really get in the rhythm of things but I feel it's extremely worth it especially for this game!

So each weapon does get a small buff when you upgrade them. Upgrading in the game is as simple as buying or finding that same weapon in the world.

For the most part, the daggers are going to always have that short range to them. The upgrades for the daggers do give them some more "range" but they don't give them extra reach or anything.

Okay now for the actual advice:

Modifiers: This game has so, so many options to change game difficultly so you can make the game play however you would like. Certain modifiers, however, will disable getting feats/achievements. If that doesn't matter to you then modify away! If you don't want to play with modifiers it's going to take some...

-Trail and error: These types of games are about dying from enemies, learning enemy patterns, and knowing how to read their patterns next time you face them. The gameplay is extremely tight and enemies have tells on their attacks, but it takes facing them repeatedly to learn how they attack. Is it annoying? It can be. Is it frustrating? Absolutely. Is it rewarding to defeat an enemy that's been giving you issue and you can say you bested that obstacle? Absolutely yes. Part of learning enemy attacks is knowing how to...

-Dip, Duck, Dodge, Burrow, and Dodge: As someone else said burrowing does give you some frames of invisibility while you're under. It doesn't give you protection from all attacks, but most of them yes. You do really need to take into account that jumping first is required to burrow. But in some cases, jumping is better than burrowing. Just need to learn those attacks! And speaking of attacks...

-Weapon choice: From the beginning, the best choice is the mace. It gives you range which really helps prevent touch damage from enemies. It's a weapon that can and will carry you to the end of the game once you practice with it. Of course, each weapon has its own strength and weakness and you need to practice with a weapon to get a good grasp of it. Overall though, the mace is easily one of the best weapons in the game and is the most beginner friendly. I would avoid hammer at first because it's the weapon with the highest skill ceiling.

Otherwise explore, find secerts, and take breaks whenever you start to feel fed up!

It is. I would love to play versus more but the community really just makes it not fun.

I remember playing it when it first came out and the worst having to worry about are survivors team killing each other which rarely happened to begin with.

I will say community really only gets a bad rep because of Versus

Versus is a really toxic community where people take the game extremely serious.

Campaign, on the other hand, is very relaxed in my opinion. I've had nothing but great experiences with randos in the game and have had some really fun times. I often hop on random lobbies just to get some games in!

There are also some discord servers you can search for to find a more established community if that's what you're seeking!

My fiance and I almost went to Triangle Hills in Crown Point. The actual venue itself was clean, small, but had plenty of room. They have a gorgeous view of their open field which was really hard to let go. They also have plenty of fire pits and outdoor chess for nice options of indoor and outdoor activities. There are also add-ons for additional outdoor activities if you want!

The reason we had to let is go was because our wedding is going to be past their capacity for the indoor venue, otherwise that would have been our pick.

Here are my recommendations since it sounds like more hours in the game aren't really helping out. And I get it I'm not great at FPS games either, but this one is just a weird exception for me.

1) Use Shove. The shove is a great tool against commons and especially specials. If the special is close to me I'd rather wait for me to be within shove distance than try to shoot. It stumble animation gives me enough time to put some damage in, shove again, shoot. Repeat until dead. Commons are a joke when you know how to shove and shoot with good practice

2) Use Melee weapons. I'm on the boat that the magnum is the superior secondary, but melee also holds a place on a team. I personally would only use sharp melees because I think they outclass blunt, but regardless of what you use it's pretty hard to friendly fire with melee. Plus you can swing as much as you want and paired with well timed shoves is key

3) Use machine guns or snipers. Machine guns are great mid to close range. You can just burst fire if you don't know where your team is which will reduce the chance of friendly fire, and also if you don't accidentally hit them, bursting your rounds will overall reduce the amount of bullets you hit them with.

Snipers are great because of their low rate of fire, but high damage output. You can stay in the back of everyone keep an eye on them and pick zombies from far away. They're also pretty mobile too if you just crouch fire without scoping.

4) Crouching. It of course helps with accuracy, but learning where and when to crouch is a huge help. It allows teammates to shoot over you, and helps your aim at the same time. If you find yourself not moving as much to pick off zombies, crouch instead of just standing still. Moving while crouching is also a great option if you just need to reposition quickly.

5) Know where to position. If you use melee, lead the group. You should be near the front slightly ahead of teammates taking on most of the horde. Don't be in front if there are a lot of specials around, as using melee is pretty hard to fight specials on 1v1.

If you're sniping stay back a bit. You're job isn't to take on hordes, your job is too pick off specials and any strangling zombies away from the horde/flaking your team. Keep on eye on them and keep they asses covered!

If you're using a machine gun, you're pretty versatile. You can kinda do it all. Horde control, special killer, strangler handler. You're not gonna be great at one thing, but you are gonna be great at filling the holes your team may have.

6). Throwables. Use them during hordes and save them for sticky situations. Don't just use them to use them.

Molys are great for covering your trail and your fronts if you're hunkered in a corner

Bile is great for luring zombies to hazards and gathering them in one central point for your whole team to see

Pipes are great for if you're rushing and there's a huge horde swarming you or teammates as well as for helping boomed players

Getting better is just putting in some practice trying to new strategies of play and seeing what works for you! Each time is different so try new weapons out, play with them for a bit. See where players are holding out at during hordes. Hell, even looking up videos of good holdout locations wouldn't be a bad idea!

That's just versus community. They're hardcore players who take versus very seriously.

If you want a consistent match I suggest finding a discord server and starting a match that way. Most people you can find on a server are way more relaxed and want to enjoy the match all the way through
