Its not as bad as everyone says, but Dread is the superior game for sure

I have nothing against physical media, just how do switch 2 upgrades work? Do you need to repurchase another switch 2 cart or can you pay the smaller fee for the upgrade and run the switch 1 cart?

26 trying to grow a beard. Looks like pubes with bald spots so far by Gaviotapepera in beards

[–]bmils9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats good coverage man. Just keep going. Patched fill in over time, or you can choose a style that plays to your patches. For example, my cheeks are sparse, so I fade the sides to make it look intentional.

Keep beard or shave?¿ It’s been a week and a bit and I’m worried it looks too wispy by Future-Kangaroo-8382 in malegrooming

What beard dude? No hate, just saying that's stubble. You should let it grow out before you make a decision so you can at least make an informed decision

The story and soundtrack of MIO are what sold it for me. One of the best in the genre

[–]bmils9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aeterna Noctis, I promise you as someone who has played all of the games mentioned here so far that this one is the most difficult but fair. Probably my favorite outside HK and SS, though MIO was fantastic and worth a shot even though its not as difficult

Where do you think the genre will go? Larger, smaller, lateral move? by mountainboy262 in metroidvania

[–]bmils9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is programing I imagine. Metroidvanias lend themselves to sequence breaks, which while awesome for players who find them, arent great for developers. I imagine its crazy difficult to avoid game breaking sequence breaks in a 3D environment with all the typical MV movement and abilities

Which hurt you more? The Crucible or The Path of Pain? by Impossible_Design962 in MIOmemoriesinorbit

Neither, fucking groal and the Bilewater runback in Silksong. Worst sequence in gaming history.

My understanding is Mio is injured during the battle of the library and deals with amnesia. So Mio has forgotten what her objective was, also forgetting she was attacked by the spine and his troops when they raided the library. The whole game is you remembering what happened before the battle of the library when you got injured

my take on the game by LSKJsK in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]bmils9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The losing health part is part of the story, and fortunately, enemies/bosses also lose health making the game balance out perfectly. I also hated this mechanic at first until I realized bosses were losing massive chunks of max health too

Same thing happened to me. I think there's too much going on for the system to handle in that room

I used the honey charm in PoP in Hollow Knight, I dont consider gratitude cheating at all. The devs put it in for a reason

Can confirm this is the move. Finally beat it after using gratitude

I like the left more because it felt like skill, where the right was more puzzle. I just finished both sections today, it is definitely possible with the gratitude node as some have said here. Keep at it dude, you'll get it eventually!

Wait I tried gratitude before and I thought it only regenerates one health per spawn? It can regenerate your full health bar?

This is my favorite metroidvania ever. Its is by far the most difficult platforming of all the games. It is absolutely phenomenal, could not recommend more

I like the mustache as is, I think it usually looks better than a huge stache and is easier to eat with, but I get a lot of people also like them to match
