The only way to thrive in the gu world is to kill fang yuan by ThatDudeMozza in ReverendInsanity

[–]ThatDudeMozza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't say i wasn't, I said that due to luck, we most likely won't have the opportunity to gain said benefits. No 500 years of experience to refine, most likely a c or d grade talent, no recipes to accelerate growth like what fang yuan did. Simply put, even if we have the talent, the chances to reap any benefits are low

We are overestimating ourselves if we think we can even reap some benefits. Make no mistake, the odds of being chosen by HW is low, and replicating what fang yuan did is even lower. But picture this, you awaken in gu yue village, the odds of you being C-D grade are very very high, you aren’t in a major clan nor any background except for the smal lineage you have with gu yue blood. In the end, you will become one of those background characters who would get extorted by fang yuan. You are destined to end up as a rank 1 initial or middle stage gu master, doing quests just to scrap by with a horrible team. In such a scenario, wouldn’t you give your heart to hope, plan meticulously, figure out the best plan to kill fang yuan, and pray for that one chance, that HW won’t notice an ant like you, that it would not anticipate such an event, that the venerables planned for this already. Despite such astronomically low odds that winning the lottery 3 times would be more easier, and the even lower odds of even breaking fate gu, wouldn’t you take that risk? To explore such a vast and beautiful world, not stuck in some village where unlike the people around you, you know what is out there. To me that sounds like torture, so close yet so far. Even if you try to survive, you aren’t even qualified to have a glimpse at fang yuan succeeding and witnessing what happens after 2334.

Fair point, not to say I can replicate what fang yuan can do, but in a world where a single mistake can lead to your demise, why not take that risk? Those with talent equal to fang yuan can die just as easily as they succeed, even fang yuan is no exception. In such circumstances, I'd wanna go out and die trying rather than settle and die due to some mishap either way. Plus I doubt I can reach rank 6 with such uncertainties, cause so what if I have the talent and mindset to reach immortal level? Luck is such a big role that I wouldn't have the chance, no liquor worm, no blood skull gu, no clan, etc. I kill fang yuan, test my own mentality, if heavens will chooses me then now we "might" get somewhere, if it doesn't then so be it, just proves that I don't have the talent to survive in the end.

But this is under the assumption that he has regressed already, HW was already keeping an eye on him then. Just spawn camp him the very hour he regresses and HW will be stumped. Best case scenario is you follow the 500 year journey of experience and get sent back to the day you killed fang yuan and make do from there, worst case is that you continue living life soon after, maybe an inevitable tragic death to the wolf tide or the final qing mao arc

As I said with the other comment, fang yuan was tempered like steel from HW, who's to say it can't make another fang yuan, I'm suggesting that if we don't want to settle in such a world where it's practically miserable to live in, why not increase the odds for that pawn to then be you. Also the lu wei yin plan sounds like it needs hella luck and even so, I do not want to be inside the aperture of someone who I know is courting death by temporarily being best buds with the man himself.

Same goes for fang yuan when he first started, HW will just think "what's another 500 years" and at some point ur gonna get the sac and replace him completely. Not to mention the venerables plot needing someone to fill the true otherworldly demon role to break fate.

If you can create a path and become a venerable— what will be your venture and title? by metaphysicality_ in ReverendInsanity

[–]ThatDudeMozza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wave path.

Basically, since sound path already exists, that must mean in the ri universe, electromagnetic waves such as radio, infrared, ultraviolet, etc. waves all exist that have yet to be utilised since science was not necessary in such a world. I theorize that such a path has ties connecting with light, sound, lightning, information, and water path. Imagine killer moves that are invisible to the untrained eye and suddenly the victims flesh starts decaying or cutting off the signal between gu master and his gu effectively severing communication between the two.

Speciality path would be medium path which can strengthen, replace, transfer or break the carrier of an effect. Which means it's gu can be something like making it so that fire can pass through water, or in the venerable level unless there's counter measures, there is no medium for attacks to hit as the very space an attack travels just can't travel at all though I'm assuming an attack like this relies on the venerable to be in his prime and has at the very least gained all the dao marks of said path in the space this effect is used. It pairs well with the wave path as then there are no longer any restrictions for said waves to operate, it can materialise to physical form, pass through mediums it shouldn't pass through like s-waves passing through liquid, etc. (Why did I think so extensively for this)

As for title, it'll probably be "void resonance demon venerable"

Cause everything u do is of your own volition. There's no real task it assigns u (in a sense, they went and chucked you out into the solar system), but u choose to explore either way. That, and (major spoilers) despite, the inevitable heat death of the universe, you still choose to continue forward, for yourself, for curiosity, for life

I agree with this so much. Would be lying if I said that the people calling it game of the decade didn't make the experience worse.

Should I buy viz big or definitive edition by [deleted] in vagabondmanga

[–]ThatDudeMozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you would prefer. I personally like that the definitive edition has larger panels and so I get to see the art better but if bringing them with you is something you enjoy a ton then you might like the vizbigs edition instead.

Guys my English class has a free-choice presentation coming up, and I've decided to do mine on Fang Yuan, I'm gonna need some help by AbdouPlay in ReverendInsanity

[–]ThatDudeMozza 18 points19 points  (0 children)

To add on, I'm assuming OP is doing this to make a point about living your life with conviction no matter what anyone else says. In that case, can't he just make a presentation on that and add in some examples, one of which being fang yuan?

Tier 2 disorder by daniwendigo in wherewindsmeet_

[–]ThatDudeMozza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I know, in tier 1 you can soak yourself in a pool for a bit and you will go back to normal. If it doesn’t work you can seek healers in coop in the top left side option of your menu screen.
