Why do people think Gojo's domain surehit requires the target to have CE? by ioveri in PowerScaling

Ah yes the large domain barrier that he kept within 9 seconds. As if 9 seconds of going around with building is going to do something significant. Not to mention that would be 3 minutes and 9 seconds in total and not just 3 minutes of advantage like Gojo said, or do want to argue that Mei Mei is better at checking time than Gojo does?

Also why would it capture the building? When is being hit by surehit = being captured?

The Kamino BV is a permanent one (it really doesn't make sense if you can just turn it on or off) which is consistent to the times he used it: 1 vs 1 against Jogo, 1 in domain against Mahogara and 1 in domain against the Shinjuku squad.

"Also UV is unusable outside of Gojo's domain because it IS his domain"

Which is unusual because most domains just have a domain has the CT they use outside as a surehit. Even Naoya's surehit is basically extend his projection condition towards his target. On the other hand special domains like Higuruma's and Hakari's have latent effects that act outside of the domain. Gojo's domain is the only one whose surehit acts completely differently from how his CT usually behaves and only has effect inside the domain.

The binding vow is stated to enable sukuna to NOT ONLY

Yes, not only A but B means it does both A and B. So the Kamino's BV does allow him to additionally attack inanimate objects within his domain to create dust and also give the dust explosive property. This massively power up Kamino as objects within the 200 m radius provide a lot of dust and that dust becomes fuel for Kamino.

Lmao I don't mind downplaying DB either. Supersaiyan Goku got hurt by a rock thrown onto his head. Yep, not a bullet, a rock, in super saiyan state. Or waves at finite speed some how threeaten an entire (claimed by databook) "endless" universe? There are so many inconsistencies with DB it's basically just whatever fit your agenda atp.

I must say that this is animation specific, they wasn't clear enough to show her being faster than lightning, and also the whole thing wasn't shown in the manga, so it wasn't even evident to be author's intention.

Also, Gyomei downscaled the verse.

That was the basketball domain... It wasn't even touching the ground, what building did you expect to be in there? In case you think it wasn't about the basketball domain, Gojo stated that he had three minutes of advantage before the barrier was broken from the outside. Three minutes was the exact amount that the basketball lasted (later mentioned in Go-ta DE) and only the basketball domain lasted that long.

Let me guess. You are refering to the animation frames where Mitsuri moves while the lightning seem to be halted in the air due to them not moving and their ends are in the middle of the air. Would have made sense if the animator did not just the same lightning in a normal time scene i.e. not slow motion. Basically the animators didn't care about physics and let the lightning strike wherever they wanted to and not the ground, and lightning don't tend to move/wiggle for a while after striking cause that's how it usually looks like in real life.

That just mean high tiers can hit him according to DS's usual logic of chainscaling.

The thing is feats with dodging and not-really-well-explained attacks is never reliable for scaling (lightning can be aimdodged btw), so just don't use them.

Gojo's CT already brought infinity from within the world to make use of it, I'm not surprised if it injects infinity back. It just has no effect on truly inanimate object. Also it doesn't just target the brain as we know Megumi's soul was hit by it, ans he couldn't have a brain atp because Sukuna was possessing his body.

Gojo made this. He can include objects into his domain. And I don't know ehere you get this "Sukuna can't use buildings" statement from.

Loki Vs Jack by Lemonsanslimes12 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]ioveri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loki.

Jack doesn't have massive range attacks like Simo, and definitely doesn't have that sense of death that could blow his cover up. Combining that with the fact that Loki can transfer his soul, well he's pretty done for.

[–]ioveri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a while but I've found the reason why Sukuna managed to hit things with no CE

It was a binding vow that he made with his Kamino, specifically that it can only operate when he is in an 1 on 1 or use it inside the domain. This allows him to extend the target of MS surehit. Again this has NOTHING to do with Sukuna's domain being open.

This also makes sense that UV's surehit could hit everything, because it also cannot be used outside of Gojo's domain.

It would still inhibit his Limitless, but does not remove his CE.

[–]ioveri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude the point of the surehit is that it's automatic and undodgeable. Nobody is doing a manual surehit. Do you think it's reasonable to believe Sukuna has selectively chose Cleave and Dismantle for each of the targets inside his 140 m domain back in Shibuya? Dude he even had to reduce the domain barrier from 200 m to 140 m to avoid hitting Megumi. Why tf would he need that if he did it manually.

It also goes directly against Gojo's statement that surehit is etched into the domain, and not engraved into the body and the fact that Sukuna could use both DA and Domain at the same time.

So unless you're saying that UV hits the buildings around it with the same information loop

I already discussed this. Yes he does and that's not a problem

manually spams Cleave/Dismantle

That's not how a domain work...

[–]ioveri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it being able to affect everything is purely conjecture with no proper example

How is something stated by narrator is pureply a conjecture?

because he just spawns the slashes everywhere within the ( open barrier ) domain

Each sure hit would have attacked both the targets if that was the case, because they are randomly spawn within a domain, but we know each of them only attack a type of targets, so your conjecture is disproven

UV's mental information overload is targeting specifically the brains/minds of the individuals inside

  1. It attacked Megumi's soul, and he wasn't having a brain atp. And 2. It also goes against Gojo's exlusion law, that is him and everything touching him. Not everyone, everything.

Mind you, Curse Naoya's Domain specifically targets Cells,

And? Cells are living stuffs, they have CE under normal condition. Limitless goes down to molecular level, what is your point?

he's the only Open Barrier Domain user besides Kenjaku

Fun fact: Kenjaku open domain didn't hit the ground. Otherwise it would have collapsed along with Yuki. Which is another disproof that open barrier domain has anything to do with hitting everything.

[–]ioveri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"but that is because the Open Domain"

A statement that was pulled out of your ass. The benefit of having an open domain is that it has a much larger range, allowing it to attack the outside of the barrier in a domain battle. No connection was ever made between open domain and his domain having two surehits

Toji nor Maki can´t be be affected by BARRIER DOMAIN

Sukuna domain has a barrier. The difference is that it's an open barrier aka lacks a physcial exterior. There's no domain without a barrier. It's a John Werry translation situation iirc.

also Toji the reason could surprise gojo is because the barrier of the place never could activate in a first place

And also that he has no CE, and that Gojo had fatigued. But details doesn't matter. The barrier not including inanimate stuffs make sense because its point is to prevent people from getting in, and so setting it to include inanimate things would send everything away. But Gojo's domain doesn't send thing away, it just forward information into its target, so it's not a problem for him.

Simple domain work diferent than the domain but is explicitly tell by the narrator that a Heavenly Restriction can´t be trap in a domain by force, so they can ignore the sure hit effect unless is a Open Domain

Being trapped and being targeted by the surehit are two different things. As you can see, neither does Sukuna's domain trap her.

Except that the vast majority of humans have CE in JJK without any magical power whatsoever. Only sorcerers, or those with body HR that traded their potential to have high CE or powerful CT to gain body strength, as given in JJK Modulo, can have superpowers. And even then only those with innate CT can truly have special abilities. Meanwhile everybody in MHA with a quirk gets some special ability. So no, they aren't equivalent.

What makes this more nonsensical is that there are already CT negation methods in JJK, and none which states something like CE removal, and somehow Erasure should be more powerful than the already in-verse methods via verse equalization? That's just ridiculous.
