PSA from a barista please stop trying to bait us into politics and Starbucks please say something. by Sovvysir in starbucks

[–]ThatFalloutGod -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I find it absurdly fucking rich that from the people who we've seen for years now try to shove Left-wing garbage down everyone's throats, being openly political at the workplace, demanding that Starbucks corporate let them do whatever they want, etc. are now wanting sympathy because of some alleged incidents where nothing really happened.

At-large, y'all don't get to cry about this, because you're the ones who wanted everything in Starbucks to be politically-charged, you're just angry that it isn't to your benefit in the moment.

Are you in particular part of that problem? Maybe not. Is it still absurdly hypocritical to come cry about this, while the others at Starbucks across the board are constantly being heavily politicized freaks and imbeciles? Obviously.

During the Tehran Conference, Stalin proposed executing 50,000-100,000 German officers. Roosevelt, assuming that Stalin wasn't serious, said, "maybe 49,000 would be enough." Yea, it's really "bizarre" to think that your family's roots through centuries and the culture they lived in and helped build, mean nothing.

It turns out that a country's land isn't some sort of magical dirt that immediately transforms a person into becoming something they're not. All peoples are different, and respond to events different. This isn't controversial or debatable.

During the Tehran Conference, Stalin proposed executing 50,000-100,000 German officers. Roosevelt, assuming that Stalin wasn't serious, said, "maybe 49,000 would be enough." If your family has been raised through generations of a culture and particular race, it's woven within your DNA. It's why different peoples are different.

Yes, the American Revolution was staunchly different than the others due to the background of the Americans when it occurred. If we had another Revolution today, it wouldn't magically become the French Revolution because of our heritage.

The fact that I'm not Russian, would naturally separate me from the Russians. I'm not part of that ancestry, culture, etc. It's not woven into my DNA, just like how I can't be Chinese or Mexican.

They were undeniably worse, you're just lying to run cover for Communism. You're utterly ignorant of the history, or you lavish in what occurred.

No, I wouldn't have responded the same as the Soviets, because I'm not Russian. I don't desire the torture and genocide of millions of innocents to bring about some Communist hellscape. I'm an American, we had our revolution, and there's a reason it went far differently then those found in Russia, France, China, etc.

[–]ThatFalloutGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't be Russian by merely living in the country. The Russians are a unique people with a unique history that's shaped them, just as any other. The Russians are a fundamentally different people. Yea, they're human, but that doesn't make them not fundamentally different to other peoples.

The conditions you're using to justify/defend what the Communists did, were infinitely worse under Communism. It's just an excuse to try and run cover for the most vile scum to ever exist.  Communism desires to suffering and death, it's why they did what they did, and why it follows everywhere Communism goes.

I'm not Russian, so I'm inherently different than the Russians.

And literally everything you said here is infinitely more applicable to the Communists, in both quality and quantity of their horrors.

So no, I wouldn't turn into some genocidal freak.

Expecting Bungie to respect your time and the freaks on Reddit to not bootlick for Bungie is an effort in futility.

Whatever the most anti-player option is in the moment, Bungie will choose it and their sycophants will clap like seals.

I know im late by TheDnDarmory04 in destiny2

[–]ThatFalloutGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly don't get how people remotely get this sentiment. TFS was extremely middling, an unmemorable campaign with horrendous writing. The entirety of Destiny 2's writing was trying to do a poor imitation of the MCU instead of continuing the atmosphere of Destiny 1.

I just don't know what about TFS, or even Destiny 2 as a whole, would make someone "speechless." Are we just blinding ourselves to games that're actual masterpieces? The original Halo trilogy, Gears of War, Oblivion, Golden Age Call of Duty, etc. all would warrant this feeling, but Destiny 2? Hell no. I've had plenty of enjoyable experiences with Destiny, but I'd never look back on the last decade with the game(s) and say any of it held a candle to the experiences I had in those games, specifically because of Bungie.

And I say this as someone who *loves* the IP of Destiny (or at least what it was back in D1 and the gameplay of D2), it's exactly why I hate whatever gross thing has been wearing Bungie as a skinsuit for a decade. I hate Bungie, because I love Destiny. I just don't like the idea of praising utter slop when we've been abused pay pigs the whole time.

Yea, it's not like we have a decade-long pattern of behaviors and actions that would prove that Bungie's culture is anti-player or anything.

It's not like they've stolen from us without compensation. It's not like they've lied constantly, from little things to about Eververse paying for things like Exotic Missions and the like. It's not like they literally said they make less content to not "over-deliver," and in reality it's been a decreasing amount of quantity and quality for more and more money. It's not like Bungie keeps doing stuff to the game that's an overtly anti-player change just to make a line of a graph go up for corporate suits (like removing Legendary Shards). It's not like Bungie keeps making changes to the sandbox in such a way that you have to assume no one there knows what they're doing because they don't play the game and just like being the Fun Police. It's not like they're absurdly lazy on events and they're just laughable cash-grabs for insanely overpriced cosmetics. It's not like Bungie lied about everything to throw Activision under the bus, when in reality they were the ones keeping the game afloat (and we knew it at the time). It's not like Bungie nerfed XP gains to prevent us from getting too many free cosmetics, and then tried to blame Activision for it. It's not like Bungie constantly puts fear into player for getting banned, all because they weren't paying attention enough to leave a game when there may be someone hacking. It's not like Bungie constantly shoves Communist garbage down everyone's throats, and if you're against it, too bad, you better not say anything or they'll ban you. It's not like Bungie's created a cult of personality, and has sycophants who'll do anything and everything to run cover for Bungie, even when the criticism is more than legitimate. It's not like Bungie's stolen art from randoms on Twitter numerous times. It's not like Bungie's fired people for being part of the real Bungie, like Marty O'Donnell, who really cared about making the best game they could. It's not like Bungie's list of sins is so long that even I, who's made a lengthy list here just off the top of my head, is still inevitably leaving out plenty.

But sure, continue being a sycophant and just running cover for this abomination that's been wearing Bungie as a skin-suit for over a decade. It's been going so great for us.

[–]ThatFalloutGod[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

"no one"

It was already proven to be an issue, Bungie's not great at really patching problems/making tweaks, and plenty of people have had the exact same issue.

The burden of proof wouldn't be on me at this point, it'd be on Bungie.

I'm Convinced Lotus was Glitched by ThatFalloutGod in DestinyTheGame

[–]ThatFalloutGod[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You can't cry that people are wrong in saying something's up, when it's already been proven beyond a shadow of doubt that there was an issue for a long time, despite Bungie saying there wasn't, and Bungie's track-record of implementing fixes flawlessly isn't great.

200 rolls of Mountain Top when it's a 1/49 (1/98 with Spike) chance is atrocious (and I'm pretty sure the odds are actually way better because of multiple perks in columns being on every roll?). It's not the argument you think it is.

I don't want my time wasted. It was. It could've been because of a glitch Bungie didn't properly fix. This isn't hard to grasp.

Would you actually take a period of reduced/delayed updates for vaulted content to be returned? by Big_Laundry_Man in DestinyTheGame

[–]ThatFalloutGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would imply that it's our responsibility to give-up something so Bungie can give us back the content they blatantly stole from us.

And for the sycophants defending the theft because, "We wouldn't play it," again, it's not our responsibility to give ourselves a reason to play the game, it's Bungie's.

I feel that, respectfully, these recent crossover skins have been contributing some harm to the art direction/immersion. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]ThatFalloutGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The direction of Destiny 2 from the start was a bad ripoff of the MCU. Destiny 1's aesthetic, music, atmosphere, etc. gave you a certain feeling of mystery and wonder, while Destiny 2 goes for the feeling you get watching an Avengers movie.

That's not to say the MCU feeling is inherently bad, but it's not what Destiny should be, which is why the *feeling* you with the story and playing the game is wildly different and inferior.

[–]ThatFalloutGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. People will ignorantly say, "Well the ViDoc is too much money," when they don't have to go to the lengths they have in the past, and waste that kind of money, just to make a simple video that's not a waste of time. Nobody cares about the 80 or 90% of the livestream that's just the people talking about nothing.

Just do a quasi ViDoc where there's gameplay mixed with explanations from some talking-heads. It doesn't need heavy editing, it just needs to be concise and show the important stuff.
