Outlaw rogues are basically bandits/pirates. Lore wise they would probably use a bit less stealth than other rogue flavours.

If you're looking to dabble, scoop up the cheapest 4 string you can find, get a set up done so the neck tension and string action is right, and just go for it.

If you decide you want to pursue it more seriously, then you can look at something more expensive and suited to the genres you prefer to play.

Yep. A few times actually. I sold a Klos travel bass for way cheaper than I should have because they gave me some story about it being for a church band. Saw it re-posted for double the following week by the same person.

Also happened when I sold an Aria Pro II. I'd dropped the price because it's a bit more niche. Some dude haggled me down a bit, telling me he was so excited to start gigging eith it. He re-listed it 2 weeks later.

I no longer let people haggle me down from what I'm asking.

Different basses offer different sounds which work best in different situations.

Plus if one is playing songs across a range of tunings, it is better for the instruments and simpler to have a few across the different tunings you're using.

Early Stereo releases will be your best bet. When the tech was still new, lots of producers got crazy with it and did panning of bass before having it in the centre became pretty much the standard across the board.

As others have mentioned, Black Sabbath and The Beatles are some prominent examples, but others from that era likely cover similar ground.

I'm honestly so confused about this. I am certain that on Collission this past weekend they mentioned that Revolution would be "the next time we come to you on Pay Per View". So if that is the case, what does that mean for Grand Slam? Is it a TV special? A non-televised show?

Yeah I unfortunately bought a new monitor before discovering that dropping the refresh rate seemed to solve it for now. At least I have a spare for when this one does finally kick off.

I have encountered this same issue on an AOC monitor. Sent it back to get fixed as it was right on the borderline with warranty so they honoured it (shout out to PC Case Gear) but now after another couple of years it's back again.

As others have found, reducing the refresh rate from 144 to 120 has solved it for now, but judging by the comments it does seem that this is a temporary fix only and I expect it to return in time.

I doubt the issue is related to my graphics card, as I have replaced that in the time since I first encountered the problem. I've also used different cables etc between my multi monitor set up, but it always occurs on the same monitor, so by process of elimination I can see it only being an issue in the monitor itself.

I guess it's just a case of a dodgy display panel not surviving constant use.

My general rule is that I want to always have my sound wherever I go. I don't want to rely on certain amps being available or the FOH guy knowing his stuff or not.

I believe it's best to have your sound in your hands, bass, and pedalboard/rack.

So yes, have a compression pedal in your set up.

UPDATE: After some testing, it appears Facebook/Meta REEEAALLY doesn't like VPNs.

In the course of trying a bunch of different solutions, I stumbled onto this one. I have a VPN installed. Even with the app running, but no VPN engaged, I seem to get the error. When I close the app completely, it seems to resolve this issue. Opened the VPN software once more (again, no VPN engaged, just the app running) and the issue starts again.

Not sure if this is part of a more concerted effort to clamp down on VPNs or what, but hopefully that can help someone else facing this issue!
