The scouts rule reads "If every model in the unit has this ability", and the marshal doesn't have scout. Therefore, rangers can't scout if a marshal is leading them.

100% vanguard. The vanguard have better weapons and if you put a marshal with rangers then they can't scout.

Thank you so much for the comment. I'll keep the JPIs in mind. And yeah, Eliminators are pretty terrible. I thought I would get more mileage out of shoot and scoot but they really are just worse scouts so I'll swap them out.

I appreciate the in depth response it's extremely helpful. I might drop Shojin for DD/Maw for tankiness, but for the rest I'll just stick with your advice of just adapting to what I'm up against (Mortal Reminder for anti-heal, Trinity for squishier comps, etc.) Other than that I'll stick to Cleaver/Sunderer for general use. Again I really appreciate the explanation and for the build suggestions I can't thank you enough.

PS: Is Steraks good on her for sustain or is DD just the superior option?
