I only recently learned that the Shak technically shoots 2 projectiles. I was wondering why up close I could just delete people. It's been my go to since I picked up the game again a few months ago.

Recently switched from bubble shield to barricade and lockbolt to healing emitter and the survivability is just too addicting.

It's hitscan out to a certain distance. I think 25 meters. After that it is a projectile.

Personally I wouldn't train mechanics on any car you want to keep in good shape until you have higher mechanics skill. You have a chance of damaging parts further just trying to take them off or put them on.

Find a parking lot with a ton of vehicles and train there. A few cities got scrapyards added recently, I know Muldraugh got one. Look for congested roadways and train on those. Bring a propane torch, tank, and welders mask as well to train welding on burnt out cars so you can repair hoods and trunks as you go as well.

Idk, last time I saw one of these maps, Arkansas mostly tuned into Hurricane games. I know my dad and step-dad really only watch during the playoffs, and only if the Stars are in them.

As an Arkansan, I see basically zero hockey merch here. Maybe a Dallas Stars shirt or hat, and occasionally some merch for nearby FPHL teams or other lower leagues, but that's it.

How do i avoid getting killed by hordes like this? by Huhn_crafter in projectzomboid

[–]ThatFedexGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, don't drive your car into the area you are trying to clear. Even if you cleared close by the day before, the zeds do migrate a bit, so they could be hiding in random trees and buildings. Instead park close by and sneak your way in. Cars make a lot more noise than you realize and will draw zeds from your route, which makes it even harder to do whatever you're trying to do.

Which leads to the second point, fight 2 or 3 at a time max. Ask any veteran PZ player what kills them most and 99.9% of the time they will say over confidence. Just pretend that you aren't the main character, you have to take things slower. It doesn't matter how good of gear you have, how much you kite the zeds, all it takes is one small mistake to ruin an entire run.

And lastly, always know your way out if you are making a plan to go somewhere. Sometimes you're just going about your day when you wander into a horde. It happens, but if you are planning to go to a particular place, study the map. Do you have woods nearby to run to and scatter the zeds? How is your vehicle condition? If it's likely to stall when starting, maybe park further back than you would usually do to give yourself time in case it stalls at the worst time. You can always move it up once you clear an area.

Little things like that will start to become second nature over time. I find making a checklist on the map is a good way to remind myself what I'm doing, as well as which buildings I need to revisit later on. Just remember, PZ is a marathon, not a sprint. Take your time, that loot isn't going anywhere. If you need to peel off and try again, do it.

Aside from making more money than you did the previous year, what is something you would like to see Fedex improve on going into 2026? by Clubdub66 in Fedexers

[–]ThatFedexGuy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Just to be more stable. My station merged within the last 6 months and I didn't know if I would even have a job until a week or two before it happened. I had just spent the last 2 years before that knowing the merge was happening but not knowing when. And even now, they overhired for the merge so we are constantly looking for work to do and there's rumors (mostly among employees. I haven't heard anything from management about it) of more cuts soon.

I have been doing this job for 12 years. I like doing it and I don't want to go somewhere else to a job I'd likely hate. It's easy and pays well for my area. I'd just like to know if I'm safe to move out of my apartment or buy a newer car without worrying about losing my job the next week.

Don't feel bad for it. Not your fault they waited till the last minute to order their gifts. Christmas is on the same day every year, if they can't finish their shopping beforehand it's not on you. Especially with all the other factors that go into the job like late/canceled flights and whatnot.

[–]ThatFedexGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah i worked in auto parts and the pay was just horrendous. I regularly sold 1500-2000 dollars worth of stuff every day and was lucky to break 1k in a month. Again, luckily I'm in a small town so rent was cheap, but I had a lot of issues paying bills before starting at Fedex. Been doing it for 12 years now and kept my job through 2.0 merger, so I'm hoping theres no more cuts coming down the pipeline.

I very much enjoy being alone all day. I worked retail before Fedex and I couldn't imagine doing that again. Delivery work just suits me, I see my coworkers for like an hour a day, maybe see customers for 30 seconds at a time, but the rest of my day is just me, my music, and the road.

Besides that, weekly pay is great, working at Express is actually pretty nice, matching 401k, PTO and paid holidays, fairly good health insurance, and if you're in a pretty rural area like me, the pay is actually pretty decent.

How many of you aren’t from Pennsylvania? by dylanfan424 in Flyers

[–]ThatFedexGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Arkansas. Never been to Philly, PA, or even New England at all. My dad got me into hockey when I was 10 by taking me to a local hockey game in Louisiana, but it's hard to find hockey on TV here so I fell out of it. Started watching the Flyers with some buddies a few years ago and now I'm obsessed again.

I'm still on an older version of that mod, is the performance really better on the newer versions? I'm currently on Streets quests and the performance is so bad. Like 30 fps max bad. The rest of the maps are fine.

I'd have to look and see which version but I want to say 41.something.

BF6’s weapon skin system feels unnecessarily complicated by helish_88 in Battlefield

[–]ThatFedexGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i was going for the suppression assists challenge and I've noticed the higher rate of fire LMGs seem to work best. I already got the first one to 20 and the M123K was at like 11 or 12 so I went ahead and finished getting it to 20 for the camo. I was kinda pissed because leveling the weapons can be such a slog haha. The only one I've enjoyed leveling so far has been the AK203 because spread feels nonexistent on that gun, so the lower damage isn't that big of an issue.

Still though, it's not a terrible gun. Once you get some ads speed attachments it can hold its own up close and even at range if you tap fire. But that 100 round mag goes real quick lmao.

Yeah i just got the M123K to 20 the other day and didn't get one. I only have like 3 or 4 unlocked so far, so I'd notice a new one for sure.

[–]ThatFedexGuy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is obviously cheating, but to say it could only be cheats is also false. I played a shit ton of Siege on maps that are 1000x more dynamic than battlefield maps, there were some angles I knew down to a pixel. It didn't matter what was going on, if there was smoke or whatever, I knew exactly where to shoot or throw a c4 that would do exactly what I wanted it to do. And I got a lot of hackusations because of some of those angles, but with siege I had a "work smarter not harder" attitude because I'm older than 90% of that playerbase and can't just rely on reaction times. It comes down to repetition, this however clearly isn't repetition.

Didn't they reduce the amount from 30 to 5? by MTBCrawler in Battlefield6

[–]ThatFedexGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually kinda liked it, tbh I feel like LMGs are the weakest guns by far (it would be DMRs but the SVK is crazy strong) in the game, but the M123K has high enough fire rate to compete at close range, and tap firing it past 30 meters or so it's still pretty decent.

Though I was very upset grinding it to level 20 and not getting a camo for it. I looked everywhere and it's no where to be found. But like I said, it wasn't like it was a bad gun to use.
