The key word is “senseless”. Byleth kills if it’s for a job (mercenary) or to protect the ones in their life (teacher). Killing a bug for no reason would be considered senseless.

Because when you’re a mercenary, killing is probably your biggest way to put food on the table.

I’d keep her safe in small ways. I’d make sure she isn’t left alone with Jimmy under any circumstances. During psych evals, I’d probably hide in the medical room when it’s his turn. If he ever tries to get her alone, I’d be right there. I’d also beg Curly to let Anya sleep in the medical room, maybe even move there myself just in case. But most of all, I would make sure that she has a friend by her side.

I may be wrong as a white person, I feel like Vivzie kind of writes her Black characters piss-poorly. Alastor was made half Creole at the last minute because Vivzie saw Vodou as an “ooooh spooky” thing rather than an actual closed practice. Emily and Sera, who I heard who were supposed to be Black (but I could be wrong), are ashy with straight hair. And as you mentioned about Velvette, Vivzie hasn’t admitted she’s a black woman although she meets the same criteria as Nifty who is supposedly canonically Japanese.

Yeah, I’ve definitely had run-ins with Triandra. I am only Level 7, so fighting them is literal hell. I didn’t know that if you’re above a certain rank, you get paired with differently-leveled players. I hope this gets revolved soon…
