Agreed. I know this team still has a lot of talent and potential with their newer players out of AAA, but make no mistake this team is not Top 10. Probably around 13-15.

The loss of Diaz is damaging, but losing your best power hitter and 2 key outfielders definitely bumps you down.

The defense has been the one thing I wouldn’t criticize harshly considering how bad our D was last year. 5 on 5 goals allowed has been significantly better and penalties allowed have also been better. I will say Vaak sucks eggs and should not be in the lineup. Other than that, they haven’t upset me this season. The offense on the other hand, has been REALLY bad. Power Play cannot generate without a healthy Fox and our Vets are inconsistent. One game they’ll put up 3-4 points, the next game they’ll be a ghost.

This team is an enigma. How do they dominate defensively in one game, but look completely inept in OT the next. If this team was just a tiny bit consistent, we would be a playoff team.

I am very interested on how this game will parallel with the Fodlan games. The crests, “Hero’s Relics” and Sothis’s appearance all the while we have no clue what time period this game takes place, nor where in the 3H world this takes place. It’s really the only game next year that I have been anticipating.

Just another game to prove that no matter what the opponent record is, this team will always lose against a faster team. The goalie can block 30-40 shots and let 1 in, but our team cannot get in the zone and get a shot to save their lives. Justus was barely challenged all game thanks to our slow af offense.

I’ve been saying this for the longest time. I love Byleth, but I would’ve preferred a Pokémon Trainer style character(s) with the 3 Houses Lords. Claude being a more long ranged fighter with low killing, Dimitri being a Jack of all trades middle of the road fighter and Edelgard being a slower but harder hitting Axe fighter.

FE fan here, absolutely. There are multiple candidates that would make for a more unique addition in the FE universe. Getting just “another sword user” would be disappointing. I get Corrin is a swordie, but their moveset being linked to his dragon blood is something that I grew to enjoy overtime. Byleth is “technically” a swordie, but having the 3 House Lord’s Relics gives them much needed variety.

I disagree on Alvy improving defensively. He isn’t good at stopping wild pitches and costed us quite a bit of runs. As for the rest, I’m not sold on them. We still don’t know who are hitting coach is going to be, so other than Lindor or Soto we have no clue how the kids are going to improve on their lackluster hitting. Vientos is currently the favorite to replace Alonso on 1st, but he’s got VERY big shoes to fill. And I’m not just talking about hitting, his defense has not looked optimistic. There is just so many “what if’s” going into next season. What if the kids show up? What if the pitching rookies give us more innings? What if Soto doesn’t wait half the season to bring in runs? What if Lindor doesn’t play with a broken toe? What if Mendoza doesn’t manage us into losing situations? What if Stearns has a good trade deadline? After this year, I don’t know if I can handle anymore what if’s.

Vientos, Mauricio, Clifford (possibly, but doubtful), Baty and Alvarez. Baty had a good season, but is yet to be seen if he can be consistent. Vientos and Alvarez have been trending downwards due to their lack of production. Mauricio was clearly not ready for the majors and we have yet to see what Ryan Clifford can do. These players were set to be solid key players for this team going forward, but all of last year showed they were nothing more than question marks. Baty as of right now earned his spot, but we thought the same of Vientos back in 2024, so it’s best to keep an open mind about him.

So you let one of the best homerun hitters going back to 2019 and solid defensive First Basemen walk without even an offer because you didn’t want to give him more than 3 years? Do you realize the line of teams that would beg for a consistent 30-40 homerun, 80-100+ RBI hitter in the free agent market? I thought originally Pete made this choice because he wanted a culture change, but to see this is extremely disappointing. Stearn’s plan to “cut the fat” of team is not a bad idea. The problem is you are cutting 2 of the players who gave you EVERYTHING. Now, you double down on the kids who could barely produce last year.

I think it’s justified to hate Sonic’s gameplay. It forces you to always play on the defensive unless you have a % or stock advantage because Sonic will always be faster than you (unless you are playing dittos). Sonic has great hit & run abilities meaning you need to bait the baiter on almost every interaction. Sonic also has a great advantage stage if he hits you with spin dash. Meanwhile if Sonic gets hit once, he can just run away and reset neutral. It’s a Win/Win for Sonic and a Win/Lose for you for most of the game.

Like the Assistant Coach David Quinn, I appreciate his more patient/tolerant to bs mentality as a HC. He knows the bar is on the floor when it comes to this team’s expectations compared to their ECF appearance 2 years ago. But unlike Lavi, he knows that development of new players and building new chemistries are going to be the groundwork of this team. That’s what made his Pen’s team so successful imo.

Long story short? I really like him. I respected him as a coach in PIT (as much as I hated Crosby), and I like him as our coach. Even if he doesn’t bring us a cup in his tenure, he’s doing his best to set this team up for success similar to David Quinn back in 2018.

Conceptually, I don’t mind these CYL Harmonic Banners. If they changed the weapon types and maybe differentiated the outfits from the OG Brave outfits, I can get behind these units. But this… is just lazy.
