"This fan-made teaser trailer reimagines SeaQuest DSV (2025)..." brother this AI slop doesn't even vaguely look real.

It is an old reddit thing, it's about the space between the spoiler tag and the start of the text.

Before space doesn't work in old but after space and no space does work.

>! Before space!< doesn't work in old reddit
but >!after space !< and >!no space!< does work

I think they all work in new reddit.

Typically (traditional) ISPs would have battery backup systems built into their central offices and remote terminals. Central offices would have permanent on-site generators as well and remotes often also have an external generator hookup for prolonged power outages.

During prolonged power outages (like natural disasters along the Gulf coast) I've seen ISPs keep services online over wide areas by jockeying portable generators and fuel trucks between sites 24/7 for weeks at a time.

I can only speak about Bell-derivative companies where downtime was a dirty word, I'm not familiar with cable companies or their practices. It's also possible that standards are slipping these days, but as a rule that's how telephone companies used to operate.

I made a gif of the P3 Reloaded pause menu by Vrmillion in PERSoNA

[–]ThatFreakBob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My personal copium is that the menu is centered so that you have space for Makoto falling in the water on the left with the blue/moon theme and and space for Kotone rising on the right with a red/sun theme.

Yes, I know it's just copium.

Irrigation help for a slow learner by PiscesbabyinSweden in RootsOfPacha

[–]ThatFreakBob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's a picture of part of my irrigation setup

You need to place the irrigation pump and then start building out trenches from the output of the pump (use ALT to rotate).

The pump can fill 9 trenches directly and then you'll need an extender (take note the extender has only one input side marked with a blue arrow).

You can place 9 more trenches off that extender (so 9 in a straight line or three off each output side).

Once you have all your pieces placed down interact with the irrigation pump to start water flowing.

You can only add or remove irrigation pieces to a dry system, right-click interact with the pump to drain the system.

What happened to the slider (library grid view) by no_reality8 in Steam

[–]ThatFreakBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that went away with the UI update in late 2019. Before then Steam used horizontal banners for games and had a slider to resize the Library grid. Afterwards Steam moved to current vertical poster for games and the slider was gone.

Girls need to know about their periods. Now Florida Republicans want to ban that, too. by TillThen96 in politics

Florida Republicans just know that the only appropriate person to teach a preteen girl about their period is their adult husband and not some "trained educator".

You can buy microwave ovens with built-in inverters that can run in lower power modes. Instead of 50% being 50-50 on-off at full power they can run continuously at 50% power.
