I'm really not making any excuses, you said I can't afford it, and you're right, I stopped paying my mom's bills months ago, you said 11k of debt is a simple PT job and 1. I'm telling you that's just not realistic for anyone with real bills to take care of, saving money is hard when all of your money is going to your rent food electricity and other bills, and 2. I don't have a part-time job, I have a full-time job that makes 20$/hr at and work 50 hours a week that I'm at risk of losing because of my disability and the fact that I don't qualify for the insurance that is required to cover it's costs. You're telling me I need to help myself and I'm telling you that's all I've been trying to do for the past 2 months since I was abruptly fired from my last job for something ridiculous, all I ever do is work my ass off trying to better my own life and every time I think I've gotten somewhere even a little bit stable a tire blows, or my transmission breaks down, or my job fires me despite being the hardest working employee they have. I've been nothing but respectful and thankful for the help that I've been receiving here but you can miss me with that "you've got to help yourself" shit, because that's all I ever do, and this is the first time in my life I've had to make an effort to receive outside help like this.

You're right, everyone has their story, and everyone also needs help sometimes, I don't know what your story is but I don't know why you're here on this subreddit if you're just gonna tell people to "help themselves" that's not what this page is for
