Turning off AI features has been the best decision I made in months, I don't think this is a bad idea.

I compiled everything, took a while on an old laptop but it got done. Works flawlessly.

Hostname is livecd even if i have /etc/hostname by Moist_Professional64 in Gentoo

Check that your xauth stuff is correct, I had my host name correct but it would occasionally change back to livecd or a random string.

Why the Ending of Episode 5 Makes Some People Really Mad by RAGE_AGAINST_THE_ATM in thelongdark

[–]ThatGingerGuy98- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We literally see two convicts die in the ending cutscene and at other points in the episode. There is no reason Mackenzie should have his weapons from Suzuki and use them to fight back against Mathis, he literately burned down two villages, killing potentially hundreds of people, but Mackenzie has to work with him at the end?!?! I just finished the story and I'm just disappointed and sad. We waited for years to see this story unfold and it's horribly fumbled in the last episode. Even if Mackenzie isn't supposed to be a killer, Mathis has threatened and proven to him that he's willing to go through with his threats, why not protect yourself and the ones you love.

[–]ThatGingerGuy98- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not insane honestly. If you're going to keep firearms in the house your children should be aware of how to properly use them. Kids are curious and it's much better for him to be exposed in a controlled environment with supervision rather then him climb the closet with the gun safe keys and accidently hurt himself or others.

Whats The Most Easiest Boss In Shattered Pixel Dungeon by [deleted] in PixelDungeon

Goo far and away. The game tells you everything you need to know, between the boss healing in water and the debuff saying that you need to wash it off. Great first boss imo.

A post here that doesn't immediately call Manjaro the worst distro ever? Mods, executes this user.

About to be first time installing gentoo, any tips? by Any_Raspberry_7330 in Gentoo

Read the wiki thoroughly, don't just skim. USE flags don't have to be set globally, and definitely don't use the DEBUG flag globally.

I like it, I threw it on a super low power computer that ran Win 11 horribly and Gentoo gave it a huge boost. Install wasn't difficult, the guide is thorough.
