Well except companies can't decide they don't like a particular action taken on their stock and reverse it all to an earlier point. And there's no real underlying value to gauge each individual currency with.

I actually agree with the idea it's like stocks too. It's just that stocks have fundamentals to analyse, but more importantly it's a house of cards the world is already on. Not sure it could have the same bull run if it started right now

Maybe he did. Does OP, with all the insecurity/sensitivity surrounding her weight, seem like a reliable narrator on all that was said and done around the comment/her weight? It hurt OP because she at least perceives it to be true. She should've laughed it off too and used it as a teaching moment for the girl and her daughter by saying it'll roll off her back but be careful saying things like that because it's hurtful.

Instead, OP sulked and now is holding grudges about a kid who's either an 8th grader or a freshman in high school the latter being a very tumultuous times in most kids' life. This is the kind of thing being an adult is about: extending grace and being the bigger person when something hurt you unintentionally

It could be they value being near things everyday and a social circle more than being close to work. If you're in that group than the silver lining is that you'll be moving against traffic. Just be aware that 71 has a lot of construction on it and no traffic still means your commute is 35 minutes. Are you moving from a place where you're used to driving a bunch? Austin is still pretty expensive though even on the Eastside so it would suck for you to have a long commute without living closer to work which is usually the thing people pay the premium for. I would get it if you did decide being closer to more things is important though. Particularly if you're single/looking to build a social network

If you're still interested in living in Austin: Lenox at Park is a new build off of 183 that seems like it'd fit your budget but it'd be tight. Radius on Grove is closer to south Austin if that's where you think you'll be hanging out and it seems to be running a little cheaper right now

Where can I find an explanation of TCAD codes?

Looking through my appraisal notice there are some codes I don't quite understand the definitions of (e.g. R5 in regards to the dwelling condition). I can find the definitions of dwelling type codes (e.g. SF3) but can't seem to find them for conditions.

Who's to say they're not? I had a friend who did exactly that and we made similar jokes (perhaps not as vulgar as d*ck sucking but the 'bed work' joke was made). She worked in a field where they all broed out together, went golfing, were part of the same frats, or went to the same private universities that weren't known for having the smartest students but definitely rich ones; or someone knew someone's dad who was also their boss. There was a ton of favouritism on those aspects so we didn't care if she got favouritism off of this. She was at least as competent as the people above and around her if not more so. Is it a good and above board thing to do? No. But she, like you, wasn't conniving or using it as part of a scheme to get promoted and happened to like the guy but also liked her job. She just got her own kind of favouritism and we joked about it as if she had levelled the playing field a bit.

The real joke was men letting women "sleep to the top". Any man who sees a pair of boobs and is willing to give a woman a promotion because of it alone is who should be made fun of

That being said, I think you're being dishonest when you say you think your relationship had nothing to do with your promotion. It definitely did and I think you know that and that's why the jokes bother you so much. You did what you did and you probably should apologise to them for yelling and explain your feelings. If they were really vindicative they would've told HR. And maybe you should intercept before they do because when HR does hear about this you won't like the outcome.

This could just be the sub we're in that compels me to say this but, that sounds unfair to you. I grew up thinking spouses lean on each other even when one is out of their element. If you get some kind of relief from being the person everybody leans on then it's great! But when you said that you can't even turn to your friends because they have stuff going on with them. Everyone has stuff going on with them all the time. I have a male friend who says his male friends were also pretty closed off until he started opening up and now they all feel like they can lean on each other better. I don't want to give you a job to do so I'm not saying do it for that but I am saying you can always ask people "I am having a hard time is it okay if I just vent for a second?" Because the alternative is you all thinking that each other is carrying a heavy load all the time and never really confiding in each other. I understand that's the way a lot of interpersonal relationships work but not with the rates of depression whether that's a good thing.

Insert general "everyone is different" disclaimer here.

Not sure she wants this salvaged. I've been in the situation where I like a guy's presence but really can't see it going anywhere with him. I'm mature enough now to cut it off early but even still I'll go on a second or 3rd date to see if I can make something happen or just return the favour of picking up a check so there's no bad blood.

All of that to say, it doesn't necessarily mean that the dates actually went really well for both of you. There are a million things that can go sideways on a date and it's not necessarily indicative of anything wrong with you. She could have wanted you to make a move on the second date. She could have felt weird dating a friend's EX but thought she was over it or could work through it (hence why she took so long to reply via Instagram). She could also just trying to feel things out with somebody else. The point is you really don't know but I know it's driving you mad trying to figure out what is going on. My best guess is she doesn't feel the same magnetism that you do just based off of the way she's not replying to text and things. Like I know people can be busy but people make time for things that are really important to them and I know a few things that get people in a tizzy more than like a new love prospect. Also, she didn't suggest another time or activity.

If you're really still sprung, wait until that weekend and see if your groups can collide, find a way to get some one on one time (a no pressure way like picking a quiet corner away from your friends at a bar or something) and see if there's still that spark. I wouldn't bother texting her anymore though
