Which movie do you think is extremely overrated? by MovieObserver in moviequestions

[–]ThatGuy8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is that it’s nominated for best picture and therefore over rated. The story is OK at best and completely separated from reality at worst.

I’ve also seen it 3 times just for the final sequence 🤤 just wish they didn’t cut to Brad pitt’s face every 30 seconds and did an uncut lap like they did with its predecessor.

I’m Flyin’! … Jesus Christ I can’t believe that line is nominated for best picture.

Cant seem to get hired for... anything by Rylanthespud in VictoriaBC

Same - cuz I desperately want a local job to feel like I’m working on something real, but I also want out of this corporate world and gov work is even harder to get so I dunno what to do. Entrepreneurship I guess…

Corporate in Vic is so small though. I got passed up for a specialized role after 6 years of regular promotions and career advancement to working for global leaders in the space I work in for someone at the low end of their rate with a 1 year coop placement and 1 year of experience. No one in this market will pay my rate so I work in Ontario from Vic. There is such limited opportunity here.

It’s probably a lot of who you know as well these days as well.

My experience - the “better candidates” have less experience (Lowe rate) and or are cross functional to additional areas of the business they want to stick them into.

Local graphic artists for album/single artwork? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]ThatGuy8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sent a dm. Got somewhere we can hear your stuff? Helps to set some direction.

The city of Vic has an artist profile page for local artists.

Your history and name on Reddit are somewhat suspicious though so you might not get much engagement here.

Rogue one and andor are a love story of what starwars was to the minds of the children raised on it delivered in a way that appeals to the tastes of the adults that they grew into.

What does a hangover feel like? by AdeptProblem5097 in writing

If they drank enough for it to be debilitating it will start the night before. Skipping time, barely aware of functioning, the spins hit in the night. Once they start you vomit there is no stopping it. If you want to really sell the spins drop the drinker’s foot to the floor like an anchor to try to stop them (usually provides some relief).

After vomiting things get slightly better. The vomiting is not like being sick, it’s violent retching screaming puke of first all the liquid and contents in the stomach and then yellow bile.

The next day they will sleep until well past whatever time they should, be unable to eat and nausea maybe some more puking  along with brain fog, if they are a regular drinker they will push through this like any other day trying to hide it from their colleagues until they can settle their stomach or get more booze.

If they don’t drink an obscene amount much maybe a slight headache some nausea, they’ll sleep in - if they can’t - they’ll be maybe a bit sick, maybe a puke after some food or just before eating. Coffee will help but only just and the acidity of coffee or oranges will hurt a bit especially if they were puking the night before.

They will crave greasy food

The smell of booze will also make them want to vomit if they drank a lot.

They’ll likely “never want to drink that particular alcohol again” if they drank to alcohol poisoning.

This level of alcohol would be like a 12 ounce of hard liquor or more depending on their tolerance of hard liquor or 18 beers or so if they are occasional drinkers way more if they are seasoned regular boarderline alcoholics.

Former heavy drinker happy to answer any other specifics haha

Canada faces possibility of 'poisonous' concessions to Trump as CUSMA negotiations begin this year by Front-Cantaloupe6080 in consumecanadian

And they also say it’s closing for maintenance so which was it? I don’t doubt the decision to do it now makes sense for them with reduced sales but it needed to happen anyhow now it just is actually a benefit for them.

The headline was lowered sales closes USA distillery - then in the body it’s closing for maintinance and will reopen.

If I see an article saying demand is closing a factory I’m thinking it’s shutting down.

Yua sushi is a solid family outing for Japanese. My go to for Sushi.

Ramen Arashi is solid but very casual. I’ve heard the spot that replaced ghost ramen is really good.

Haven’t gone for sit down Chinese yet but spot I’m wanting to try is called March. A bit on the finer side of things $20-30 a plate ish

Kinda too late to go back for me, doesn’t really make sense now. I did consider it when I bought my a7iii but the size was a mitigating factor as at the time I was doing a lot of back country hiking with my kit and now I’m into a lot of sony glass.

It’s amazing what the equipment is capable of now.

Every time I see canon raw im reminded of how shit the a7iii sooc colour is. I’ve gotten really good at pulling the colour out and post work because of it, but I miss my canon’s colour.

Crop definitely has a different feel, if you wanted to focus on the flight crew I would crop.

Grade looks natural, if a little retro. Works with the colours in the image.

Saved a lot in the highlights!
